Jam Jars by All Dressed Up Stamps for Little Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge LPOCF # 183 on the 5th of June, 2022

Hi All!
Welcome to my post about my card for challenge #183, the 5th of June 2022 challenge for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. We have had heaps of rain here in South Australia, as well as other parts of Australia - it is a bit wet and cold! Good excuse to sit in colour inside!!

Anyway, here is my completed card:

Here is a slightly angled view too:

Our sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up Stamps:

Prize is 2 digital images!

I chose Jam Jars as I thought the image would be great to colour and it is perfect for any occasion! I have digitally printed the image on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • water - B000, B00, B32, B34
  • jar - C0, C1, C3
  • flowers pink - RV000, RV81, RV83, RV85
  • flowers yellow - Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17
  • leaves - YG03, YG09, YG67
  • inside of flowers - E15, E23, Y38
  • grounding - C00, C0, C1
  • outline - YG09
I have cut out the coloured image with my paper cutter before adhering it on to a white card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Here is another photo of the completed card in different lighting:

Here are a couple photos close-up of the colouring:

Penny for your Thoughts - (Use a sentiment) for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #184 on the 5th of June, 2022

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

Penny for your Thoughts
(Use a sentiment)

I participated in a 2 day virtual cardmaking workshop from La-La Land Crafts in April and we made 6 different cards. It was so much fun! I still have a heap to finish - we used different colouring mediums and then Martha and Irina took it in turns showing us different card layouts and techniques using La-La Land Crafts products. They have heaps of awesome ideas that I hopefully will be able to use in the future!

So this is one of three cards using the cute hippos from Nailed It Clear Stamp Set:

Here is a photo taken from the top so you can see the dimension and that the front in partly acetate!!

You can also see the acetate here:

This is a photo before the card topper has been attached:

This is the inside of the card showing the sentiment:

Nailed It Clear Stamp Set is part of the May 2022 Release from La-La Land Crafts. The patterned paper is from Life Documented Paper Pack. The vest and tie and all the other parts of the card came in our Workshop box already to use! We had to do a bit of cutting and glueing - although I used double sided tape mostly!
The sentiments from Nailed It Clear Stamp Set have been stamped with my MISTI in Black Memories Dye Ink.

The hippos were stamped on Neenah Solar White paper (Martha's preferred paper for Copics) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink - it is the first time that I have used Neenah Solar White paper. I think I will have to colour the hippos on X-Press It to compare!!

I have to admit, that I am totally in love with all the hippos from La-La Land Crafts!!
Here is a close up of all three hippos coloured (please forgive the very coloured and messy background - I clearly need to change my paper):

Here is a photo of the front panel laid out before I attached the vest/tie and hippo:

Elsa by SheepSki Designs for Colour Crazy Challenge on the 3rd of June, 2022

At Colour Crazy Challenge for the 3rd of June, 2022, we are sponsored by SheepSki Designs.

Here is my card:

Our sponsor for this challenge is SheepSki Designs:

Living in Leeds, Yorkshire in the UK, working full time as a Management Accountant, currently working on 2 design teams and an obsessive crafter and creator of cards. I have no actual style as yet but do love the unusual and quirky. I may be known for producing cards in soft pastel colours. I love anything arty. I've always drawn stuff, for as long as I can remember. In my younger days I sold a few watercolour paintings. I recently found mixed media which is a joy and love creating canvases with flowers. I had a battle with digital drawing for about a year and finally found some software I could gel with.

In January 2016 a challenge team I worked on was short of a designer's images to create with so to the crafting world, to the lovely ladies who have supported me on my journey. I've a Facebook group SheepSki Designs where I hold challenges, some for fun to win digis as well as my monthly card challenge. I've a SheepSki Designs challenge blog as well. Things are growing slowly (thankfully) so I still manage to spend at least a little time with my hubby. Welcome to my world Andrea xx

I have digitally printed the image Elsa which I think is a Fox on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • eyes - BG45, BG57, BG49, C00, white gel pen
  • nose/tongue/ears - R30
  • brown/red fur - E11, E95, E97, E15, E74, E79
  • white fur - C00, C0, C1, colourless blender
  • outline - BG57

I trimmed the image with my paper cutter and then adhered it to a white square card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have drawn some inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her awesomMonthly Classes and Bonus Classes.

Here is another photo of the card:

Here is a close-up of the colouring after trimming:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Mix It Up Challenge MIUCB #59 - Anything Goes + optional twist of 3-D Project

May 2022 Card Chain Challenge Reveal

I signed up again for the Card Chain Challenge! Essentially you sign up and make a card that you send to the person before you in the sign up and the person that signed up after you, sends you a card!

For May, I made a card to send to Michaela over in Austria - this is wh
at I sent her:

Here is a photo with the card laying flat:

Here is a photo taken from the front:

Here are the options that we had to make the card:

Theme Options: Desert / Dessert / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Embossing Powder / Fancy Fold

I chose the Friendship theme and then Fancy Fold!

Here are some photos from different angles:

This is a photo of the inside of the card before I started putting it all together:

Here are some photos of the outside of the card before putting it all together:

Here is a photo of the flowers and Marci laid out before gluing everything down:

We had a virtual workshop at La-La Land Crafts over our ANZAC Day long weekend and this is one of the cards that we made, well the card part anyway - we had a competition to name it and came up with the Tucker Tilt - after Martha Tucker and how the card tilts!
I have used different stamps, dies and papers to what we have in the workshop (I actually haven't finished that card yet!!)

I have used Marci with Lilies that is part of the new April 2022 Release from La-La Land Crafts and also in the Bloom Album Class! I have also used paper from the Celebrate paper pack (I think!), then Open Daisy Die and Side Daisy Die.

I die cut the daisies in white cardstock and then coloured them with Copics - but my colouring table is such a disaster at the moment (new job is totally crazy but great!) I have no idea what I have used!

The Smile die cut is in the May 2022 Release from La-La Land Crafts and again I have die cut from white cardstock - but I coloured the background piece with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink.

Here is a close up of the colouring of Marci with Lilies before I fussy cut her - the colouring is from Martha's Bloom Album Class:

As usual I found inspiration from La-La Land Crafts DT, who showcased some awesome projects on the La-La Land Crafts blog and as usual, from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Crafting Happiness Challenge #124 - June Anything Goes
Corrosive Challenge #5 - Anything Goes

I hope that Michaela likes the card, I was a little late posting it as I have been a little swamped with my new job and travelling :)
