Gigi Little Mermaid - Colour Crazy Challenge for 31st of August 2018

I am very excited that my first colouring post for Not Just Cards in July was chosen for top 3 at Colour Crazy Challenge and I was offered a 3 month Guest DT spot!

So this is the first month of my Guest DT for Colour Crazy Challenge.

We had a choice of two stamps from MoonflowerDigiStamps. Here is the information from Etsy:

Welcome to my little world of fantasy! Here you'll find my work/drawings inspired by all the magic out there. There's fairies, mermaids and all the magical beings for your delight and to adorn your crafty work.

The stamp that I chose was Gigi Little Mermaid.
I digitally printed her on to X-Press It Blending card and then used my Silhouette Cameo to fussy cut the image.
I have then coloured her with the following Copics markers:
  • skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
  • eyes: B63, B66, B69, white gel pen
  • hair: B63, B66, B69, RV02, RV06, RV66
  • flower: Y11, Y35, YR16
  • top: B63, B66, B69, white gel pen
  • tail:RV02, RV06, RV66, B63, B66, B69
  • background: BG000
  • bubbles: B00, B63, RV02, B66, RV06, white gel pen
I need to thank the wonderful Alyce from Kit and Clowder for the awesome colouring advice that she gives all us Clowdies. The idea for the hair came from one of her colouring classes. Although I do feel that I need to actually sit down and practice long hair!! Hopefully after I have finished colouring the current Monthly Colouring Classes!

On a white stepper card from Cardmaking for Connoisseurs, I have used my new Water Ripples Layering Stencils from La-La Land Crafts with chipped sapphire, pine needles and tumbled glass Distress inks and my new Distress Blending Brush that I bought over the weekend at Paperific.
I have then covered the other two parts of the card with paper from a paper pad I picked up at Aldi for my daughter called Islandia by Creative Pl. I edged the cut edge of the paper with tumbled glass Distress ink.
I have then die cut four seahorses from La-La Land Crafts (also new!!) from pale turquoise core Couture Glitter card stock. I have also die cut three fish, an octopus and a crab from Club La-La Land Crafts August 2017 from pale pink and yellow core Couture Glitter card stock and some orange card stock from my stash.

I have adhered all my pieces to my card and added some sequins and Stickles for flash in the bottom right corner!

Here is a close-up of the image:

Not Just Cards August 2018 Challenge

Not Just Cards is having a new challenge starting today the 12th of August!
The theme for the August 2018 Challenge is "Anything Goes".

I finished colouring these images with Copics a while ago and tucked them away to put them in a photo frame to give to someone special - but I tucked them away so well, that I couldn't find them! But finally I have and I had already bought the photo frame from IKEA, so here is a present to someone special, who just had her birthday.

There is a bit of reflection, but hopefully the close-ups will help.

The three images are from Power Poppy and the colourings are all monthly classes from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

On the left is the September 2017 Markers class and the stamp is Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher.

I love how the pitcher turned out in this one!

In the centre is the February 2017 Markers class and the stamp is Camellias.

The nearly white camellia and the paler pink one, I thought turned out well!

Then finally on the right is the February 2018 Markers class and the stamp is one of my favourites - Hellebores.
I totally love the sentiment that comes with this stamp -
"The inspiration you seek is already within you. Be silent and listen." by Rumi.

I love how the water and stem in the glass turned out - first time I have coloured water and stems in a glass!

I would like to enter this into a few challenges:
Love to Craft Challenge #25 - August Anything Goes
The Flower Challenge #23 - One Layer Cards - I have three!
