Again I thought I was going to be organised this fortnight, but I came home after nearly a week in Denver for a conference totally out of it and wanted to try and keep moving, so that I didn't fall asleep too early.
Anyway, our host for this fortnight is
Deanne and she decided on the theme:
Arctic or Antarctic Animals, which means that you can use a walrus, polar bear, penguins, just to name a few on your Christmas Projects this fortnight.
Please remember that it is Christmas Projects Only and they must include the theme.
So here is my card:
We are sponsored this fortnight by Sheepski Designs.
Living in Leeds, Yorkshire in the UK, working full time as a Management Accountant, currently working on 2 design teams and an obsessive crafter and creator of cards. I have no actual style as yet but do love the unusual and quirky. I may be known for producing cards in soft pastel colours. I love anything arty. I've always drawn stuff, for as long as I can remember. In my younger days I sold a few watercolour paintings. I recently found mixed media which is a joy and love creating canvases with flowers. I had a battle with digital drawing for about a year and finally found some software I could gel with. January 2016 a challenge team I worked on was short of a designer's images to create with so I drew some. I opened my shop a month later so I could sponsor challenges and give something back to the crafting world, to the lovely ladies who have supported me on my journey. I've a Facebook group SheepSki Designs where I hold challenges, some for fun to win digis as well as my monthly card challenge. I've a SheepSki Designs challenge blog as well. Things are growing slowly (thankfully) so I still manage to spend at least a little time with my hubby. Welcome to my world Andrea xx
Andrea is offering 3 images of choice for the random winner.
So back to my card.
Last time we were sponsored by SheepSki Designs, I used the wonderful
Penguin Huddle and I actually printed a whole bunch of them in different sizes on X-Press It blending card and had my Silhouette Cameo cut them out. Then this week, I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
- black of Penguins: W3, W5, W7, W9, white Prismacolour pencil
- white of Penguins: E40, E41, E43, W1, colourless blender
- beaks and feet of Penguins: Y11, Y15, Y17, YR14, E15
- reds: R22, R24, R29, R59
- greens: YG03, G05, G07, G29
- white of hats and ear muffs: Crystal ice Ice Stickles
- glasses of third penguin from the left: clear Glossy Accents
- snow: C1, B60, V01, V22, clear Wink of Stella
- background: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, white gel pen
I have attached my coloured image on to a white square card from
Envelope Solutions that I have embossed with a snowflake embossing folder (a freebie with a magazine). To make the snowflakes stand out I have highlighted them with clear Wink of Stella.
Here is a close-up of the colouring:
