Not Just Cards Challenge for November 2019

Not Just Cards is having a new challenge this month. The theme for the November 2019 Challenge is "ANYTHING GOES".
To join in the fun, click on the following link:

Here is my creation for this month:

I recently had a milestone birthday.....so I received a few presents that I very much appreciated, so I wanted to give out some cards that I have made. This is the first one!

I have digitally printed Waiter, there's a Parakeet in my teacup by the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy on to X-Press It Blending card. I have used my Silhouette Cameo to cut it out and then I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:

  • blue cup & saucer - B12, B14, B16, B18
  • purple cup & saucer - BV11, BV13, BV17, BV08
  • yellow cup & saucer - Y00, Y11, Y13
  • flowers on yellow cup - RV63, RV66, RV69, YR18, E15
  • leaves on yellow cup - YG25, G07, G19
  • bird - BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18, Y00, Y11, Y13, Y15, YR18, E15
  • shadow - C0, C1, C2
  • background - BV0000, BV000, BV00, BV02 (outline)
I used Nautical Blue Memento ink for the sentiment from Nice Things to Say, also from Power Poppy and stamped it and adhered the coloured image on to a square white card from Envelope Solutions.

I used a few tips for colouring the bird from one of the Kit and Clowder Monthly Classes from the wonderful Alyce. Although unfortunately I have not had a lot of time recently as I started a new job, so it is a little rushed.

Here is a close up of the colouring:

I would like to enter this into a few challenges:
Classic DT Open Challenge #11 - November Anything Goes As Long as it is for DT work
Love to Craft Challenge #40 - November Anything Goes

Little Party Girl for Colour Crazy Challenge for the 8th of November, 2019

At Colour Crazy Challenge for the 8th of November, we are sponsored by All Dressed Up and I chose one of the party girls from Three Little Party Girls.

My daughter inspired the sentiment!

As I mentioned, the sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up.

Hi I am Wendy Burns I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children who have been the inspiration behind the characters, in particular my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with blogging and trends. I work predominantly within the textile children’s wear market, fashion and interiors.
I trained as a textile designer and although my work is digital based, I love to retain that hand drawn/sewn feel which I hope comes across in my artwork.
Digital stamps is a new challenge for me and the opportunity to work with the All Dressed Up Team and has been very exciting, in particular the creative way my characters have been given individual personalities by the designers.
All Dressed Up is a newly launched blog with an enthusiastic team who are passionate about stamping. The coordinators Marilyn and Tracy along with an amazing design team are also known as The Dressy Girls.
We have a friendly Facebook page, regular blog posts, tutorials, challenges and freebies. The stamps can be purchased from the Etsy shop which is updated on a monthly basis.

We really are friendly bunch and would love to see your creations so please feel free to contact us and visit the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog.

I have digitally printed the party girl with the plaits from Three Little Party Girls on to X-Press It Blending card and then cut using paper cutter.
I have coloured her with the following Copics markers:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
  • hair - YR14, YR18, E08, E18
  • clothing - purples - V22, V25, V28
  • clothing - blues - B14, B16, B18
  • ground - C0, C1, C2, C3
  • background - B0000, B000, B00, B02
  • outline - B02
I had help with the hair from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her Skin and Hair Technique class. Also the pleats in the dress are coloured with help from Alyce's Clothing Technique Class.

I have adhered the coloured image to a kraft card from Envelope Solutions and stamped one of the sentiments from Orchids Rock from the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy in Nautical Blue Memento ink on to a scrap piece of X-Press It Blending card and then outlined it in B02.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
All Dressed Up October Challenge #98 - Anything Goes with an ADU image
Brown Sugar Challenge #295 - Anything Goes in November
Classic DT Open Challenge November #11 - Anything Goes as long as for DT project

Use Holly and/or Ivy for the Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 1st of November, 2019

At Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Christine, who has chosen the theme:
Use Holly and/or Ivy!

So here is my card, which is a little late this week as I have been busy with my new job:

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme.

Our sponsor for this challenge is:
SheepSki Designs

Living in Leeds, Yorkshire in the UK, working full time as a Management Accountant, currently working on 2 design teams and an obsessive crafter and creator of cards. I have no actual style as yet but do love the unusual and quirky. I may be known for producing cards in soft pastel colours. I love anything arty. I've always drawn stuff, for as long as I can remember. In my younger days I sold a few watercolour paintings. I recently found mixed media which is a joy and love creating canvases with flowers. I had a battle with digital drawing for about a year and finally found some software I could gel with.

In January 2016 a challenge team I worked on was short of a designer's images to create with so to the crafting world, to the lovely ladies who have supported me on my journey. I've a Facebook group SheepSki Designs where I hold challenges, some for fun to win digis as well as my monthly card challenge. I've a SheepSki Designs challenge blog as well. Things are growing slowly (thankfully) so I still manage to spend at least a little time with my hubby. Welcome to my world Andrea xx

Andrea is offering 3 images of choice for the random winner.

So back to my card:
I digitally printed the Winter Robin from the wonderful Andrea on to X-Press It blending card, which I then cut out using my paper cutter.
I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • red - R11, R14, R17
  • brown - E33, E35, E37
  • white - C00, C0, C1, C2, colourless blender
  • beak/feet - E57, RV99
  • eye - C7, C9, white gel pen
  • berries - R46, R59, white Prismacolour pencil
  • holly - G21, YG09, G07
  • snow - C00, C0, C1, colourless blender
  • background - BV0000
  • outline - BV00
I have added some clear Wink of Stella to the snow and then stamped the sentiment "Merry Christmas" from Let Your Heart Be Light from the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy in Rich Cocoa Memento ink on to a small Kraft square card from Envelope Solutions. Then adhered the coloured image on to the card

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

I will add this card to the following challenges:
The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge #59 - Anything Christmas Goes
Sweet Stampin' Christmas October Challenge - Anything Christmas Goes with an optional twist of stars
Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog MLCCB #16 - November Anything Christmas Goes
