June 2020 Not Just Cards Challenge

Not Just Cards
is having a new challenge this month. The theme for the June 2020 Challenge is "ANYTHING GOES".
To join in the fun, click on the following link:

Here is my colouring for this month!

I actually coloured the parrot using the colours in the video (left) and then the alternative colours (right) - the first time I have done that and I also sized the images so that I could cut them out so that I could adhere them to cards. If you look closely you can see the Kraft cards from Envelope Solutions. I am going to start doing this so I can give away the colourings, or at least use the cards! :)

Anyway, the image is from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and the colouring is from the April 2020 Tropical Paradise Monthly Colouring Classes.
I coloured the parrot on the left along with the awesome video and then straight after, I coloured the parrot on the right - so that I was learning to colour the image without the video. Although for the feathers on the parrot, I needed to re-watch the video!

Here are a few progression shots for the two cards, but the two images are actually swapped!

I would like to enter this into a few challenges:
Love to Craft Challenge #47 - June Anything Goes
Mix It Up Challenge Blog MIUCB#38 - Anything Goes + optional twist of Acrylic Block Stamping

Beccy's Place for Winter Wonderland Challenge for 5th of June, 2020

At Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Michelle!
Welcome to our sixth challenge for 2020.

Our theme is:

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

So here is my card:

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme.
"CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS"

Christmas decorations come in so many beautiful colors, shapes, sizes and each so unique when you look at the varieties from all corners of the world.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Beccy from Beccy's Place:

Beccy’s Place Designs by Beccy Muir

My paper obsession began with scrapbooking in the late 1990s and has since evolved into card-making and digital drawing.  There were a few years of decorative painting, teddy bear making and silk ribbon embroidery mixed in there too!  I still dabble in each of those crafts, and many others, but

I generally gravitate toward paper, which I find versatile and forgiving.
I started “doodling” little designs for cards back in 2009, which is when I started my blog and began sharing my images with other Cardies.  From there I progressed to my very own online store selling digital drawings for cards and other paper craft projects. In 2012, Margaret Myers from Sparkle N Sprinkle contacted me with a proposal to make some of my designs into rubber stamps, which was a very exciting opportunity for me. Four years later, I decided to further expand my business by offering my very own range of clear stamps, which are also sold from my online store. My latest venture is a line of cutting dies that will coordinate with some of my most popular clear stamps.
These days, when I’m not hanging out with my husband and kids, I spend a lot of time with other crafters and card makers, enjoying our shared passion for handcrafts. I can’t imagine a day without some sort of creative activity taking place, whether it’s designing a new image, hand-stitching a little toy or just taking some inspirational photographs.

I chose Festive Baubles for my image, which I digitally printed on to X-Press It blending card and then cut out using my paper cutter.
I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • baubles - B60, B12, B14, B16, B18, colourless blender, gold Wink of Stella
  • ribbon - R20, R22, R24, R29, R59
  • background - C0, C1
  • lettering - clear Wink of Stella
I then adhered the coloured image on to a white card from Envelope Solutions.
As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:
