To Us from Hetty Clare for Colour Crazy Challenge on the 16th of July, 2021

At Colour Crazy Challenge for the 16th of July, 2021, we are sponsored by Hetty Clare Art.

Here is my card:

As I mentioned, the sponsor for this challenge iHetty Clare Art. Helen has aa very wide variety of images and the one that I chose was To Us.

I have digitally printed the To Us image on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
  • hair - E19
  • red - R22, R24, R27, R29
  • blue - B12, B14, B16, B18
  • white - C0, C1, C3
  • t-shirt - YR12, YR15, YR18
  • hats - E31, E33, E35
  • bottle/glass - B0000, B000, silver glitter pen for the lid, purple glitter pen for the label
  • drink - Y0000
  • grass - G20, YG11, YG23, YG25, YG67
  • sky - Y000, Y11, Y23, RV000, RV00, RV10, B0000, B000, B41, colourless blender
  • outline - B18
I have cut the image using my paper cutter and adhered it on to a white card from Envelope Solutions.

I have drawn some inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her awesomMonthly Classes.

For the Celebrate sentiment on the side, I have die cut three dies the Celebrate You die from the May 2015 Club La-La Land Crafts kit. I used only the Celebrate word in a brown, black and red cardstock and adhered them together with some glue. Then adhered the stack to the card. I outlined the diecuts and tried to highlight the word with a red glitter pen.

Here is a close-up of the colouring, both finished and at the beginning:

I had a bit of a problem with R27 leaking over my image and around my workspace - I went to work with red ink all over my hands! Hopefully I have covered it up on the image!

I am happy I chose this image and coloured it with a sunrise, as after watching the Wimbledon Tennis Saturday night into the wee hours and seeing Ash Barty win, then finding out that Dylan Alcott had also won - this is how we would feel the next morning - celebrating our Australian tennis stars!! 😂

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Mix It Up Challenge MIUCB #51 - July Anything Goes + optional twist of Aperture

We have Stampers Delights as our sponsor this month and Stacey chose 3 very cute digi stamps from Stampers Delights for us to use.

I then adhered the coloured image on to a kraft card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Peace to All Creatures for Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog MLCCB #36 for July 2021

For my July challenge with Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I chose to use some stamps, dies and stencil from my La-La Land Crafts stash by the wonderful Irina.

Here is my card:

I chose A Little Note Clear Stamp Set which I stamped using my MISTI with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to X-Press It Blending Card. I have then die cut the little birds out using the corresponding A Little Notes Outline Die. The stamp set I received as part of the Spring Box, but was released in the April 2021 Release, then just after the reveal, we could buy the dies with a discount!

I have coloured the birds with the following Copics markers:
  • R22, R24, R27, R29, R59, 100, clear Wink of Stella
I have then die cut a birdhouse and some of the flowers in red and a pale chipboard card stock using the Large Birdhouse die, also from La-La Land Crafts.

I have stencilled a tree with leaves and flowers using Tree in Bloom and gathered twigs, twisted citron, mowed lawn and picked raspberry Distress Oxide inks (it is the first time I have used them!) on to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions and then adhered the birdhouse, flowers and birds on to the card.
Then I have stamped a sentiment from Tweet Tidings by the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy in Nautical Blue Memento ink using my MISTI on to a piece of X-Press It Blending card and then die cut it using the Pennant Banner die from Close to My Heart, but it looks like it is discontinued. After stamping, I have smoodged twisted citron and tumbled glass Distress Oxide inks on to the banner to give it some colour. I adhered the sentiment banner to the card, in amongst the branches.

Here are some close ups of the birds and then the card without the sentiment banner:

I have taken inspiration for the colouring from the La-La Land Crafts blog as well as the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Thinking of You for Love to Craft Challenge Blog LTCCB #60 for July 2021

For my July challenge with Love to Craft Challenge Blog I chose to use stamps, dies and stencils from my La-La Land Crafts stash by the wonderful Irina.

I have coloured the birds with the following Distress Oxide inks:
  • tumbled glass, salty ocean, wilted violet, picked raspberry
The bird on the right also had some Nautical Blue Memento ink added to his wing.

I have then die cut a birdhouse and some of the flowers in red and a pale chipboard card stock using the Large Birdhouse die, also from La-La Land Crafts.

I have stencilled a tree with leaves and flowers using Tree in Bloom and gathered twigs, twisted citron and mowed lawn Distress Oxide inks (it is the first time I have used them!) on to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions and then adhered the birdhouse, flowers and birds on to the card.
Then I have stamped a sentiment from A Little Note Clear Stamp Set in Nautical Blue Memento ink using my MISTI on to a piece of X-Press It Blending card and then die cut it using one of the flags from the Long Flags die set from La-La Land Crafts. After stamping, I have smoodged twisted citron and tumbled glass Distress Oxide inks on to the flag to give it some colour. I adhered the sentiment flag to the card, in amongst the branches.

Here are some close ups of the birds that I have stamped, the birds with the birdhouse and then the card without the sentiment flag:

I have taken inspiration for the colouring from the La-La Land Crafts blog as well as the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.
