At Colour Crazy Challenge for the 14th of January, 2022, we are sponsored by Ching-Chou Kuik.

Here is my card: I have taken a photo outside in the late afternoon

I have digitally printed the Dark Lilies image, which I was drawn to because of the flowers and bird, on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
  • hair - E13, E15, E17, E19
  • eyes - BG53, BG57, BG49, C5, C7, C9, white gel pen
  • eye shadow - B37, wink of stella
  • lips - RV63, RV55, RV66
  • green - G03, G05, YG17
  • bird - V01, V04, BG45, BG57, BG49, C5, C7, C9, 100, YG11, YG06, E40, E41, E43, B12, B24, B28
  • pink flowers - RV00, RV06, RV17, RV09, R81, R83, E00, E04, wink of stella

  • background - B000, B00, B02, B32, B34, B37

I have cut the image using my paper cutter, outlined it and adhered it on to a white card from Envelope Solutions.

Something New for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #179 on the 5th of January, 2022

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

SOMETHING NEW

So that can mean New Year, new house, new baby etc.

I was playing around with shadow box cards for Christmas cards this year, but sort of ran out of time! I completed one for my sister's partner, but the rest of them I will have to use for something else - I decided to use one of them for my New Year card!

So here is the front of my card photographed inside at night and then outside in the sun:

Here are some photos of the inside of the card, taken inside and outside:

I have used a bunch of dies all from the wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts. I have created a shadow box for the front of the card using the shadow box die and kraft cardstock.
I have followed Vicki Poulton's tutorial on YouTube for all the dimensions and then drawn some inspiration from all the Christmas Tutorials that were posted for the La-La Land Crafts 24 Days of Tutorials.

For the shadow box inlay, I have inked a square of white cardstock with twisted citron and salty ocean Distress Oxide inks. I have then die cut the winter hill border die and the double stitched hills border die from white cardstock and adhered them over the inked square. I also placed a small square of gold paper behind the windows of the house.

For the inside of the card, I have cut a square of white cardstock to cover the underside of the shadow box and adhered a square of snowflake paper from the Blue Christmas paper pack. On the other side, I die cut a square from white cardstock and the largest of the Nesting Squares decorative dies from KaiserCraft (but it looks like these are now discontinued). Then I decorated the corner with the stitched trees die, cut out of gold paper, then I have added the sentiment from Happiest of Holidays Clear Stamp Set which I have stamped in Nautical Blue Memento ink using my MISTI.

Here are some photos taken from either side:

As I mentioned earlier, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Irina and the awesome La-La Land Crafts Design Team.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Shopping Our Stash SOS461 - Something Beginning with letter S - snow, snowflakes, stitched trees die, salty ocean distress ink, shadow box

Let's Craft and Create Challenges are monthly and go live on the 5th of every month and you have until the end of the month to add your creations which can be anything goes plus an optional theme.

Sledging All The Way by All Dressed Up Stamps for Little Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #173 on the 2nd of January, 2022

Hi All! Happy New Year for 2022!
Welcome to my post about my card for challenge #173, the 2nd of January 2022 challenge for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog.

Anyway, here is my card:

Our sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up:

Here's a bit about All Dressed Up:

Hi, my name's Wendy, founder of All Dressed Up. I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children (my inspiration behind the characters) - in particular, my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with trends and all things digital.

Day to day, I work as a textile designer working traditionally within childrenswear, fashion and interiors. Although my work is mostly digital, my work process remains hand-drawn which I hope comes across in my artwork.

All Dressed Up was created in 2013 as a place to share my digital stamps which back then was a whole new challenge for me. Since, I've been lucky to have discovered a whole creative community and welcomed the All Dressed Up design team who have been amazing to work with. Through our online community and Instagram, the team keep me on my toes to keep on drawing, creating and inspiring. My favourite thing is seeing how my characters are continually given brand new personalities!

On our Facebook and Instagram page we host regular tutorials, challenges (and freebies!) and is the real heart of our community. The stamps are available from the All Dressed Up Etsy shop which is continually updated on a monthly basis with lots of limited edition and seasonal stamps available in particular.

The All Dressed Up community is a friendly bunch (if I do say so myself!) and we would love for you to get involved, see your work and for you to share your stamping tips too! Do get in contact and be sure to visit our Facebook and Instagram pages to see what we're creating at the moment.

I have come back to a table full of markers which I may or may not have used!!):
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
  • hair - E13, E15, E17, E09
  • green - YG45, YG63, G94, G99, frosted lace stickles
  • red - R24, R27, R39, R59
  • grey - C1, C3, C5
  • sled - E43, E44, E47, E49
  • bird - E40, E41, E43, E44, E47, E49, YR16, reds, greens, frosted lace stickles
  • sky - B000, B00, B12, B21, B23, E50, Y11, R000, R20, R30, RV42
  • snow - C00, C0, C1, BV0000

I have adhered the coloured image on to a white card from Envelope Solutions.
