Layer Cake by Scribbles Designs for Colour Crazy Challenge Week 14 on the 8th of April, 2022

At Colour Crazy Challenge for the
8th of April, 2022, we are sponsored by Scribbles Designs.

Here is my card:

Here is a photo of the card flat in my new Shotbox!

As I mentioned, the sponsor for this challenge is Scribbles Designs

Here is a bit of information from the website:
Sandy has loved art, drawing and doodling for many years... and with the digital image world she can now share it with all of you. Brrr (Penguin) was her first main character and her other quirky images followed not long after. We hope you enjoy the enduring images and look around and add Sandy's images to your digital stamp collections!

They also have a challenge website: http://scribblesdesignschallenge.blogspot.com/

I have digitally printed the image Layer Cake on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • icing - RV00, RV11, RV32, RV34, white gel pen
  • cake - E31, E33, E35, E57, white gel pen
  • plate - B12, B14, B16
  • candles - B12, B14, B16, V12, V15, V17
  • flames - Y32, Y35, Y38
  • table - E50, E31, E33
  • background - B0000, B000, B00, colourless blender
Using my MISTI, I stamped the sentiment from Dynamic Duos: Peonies & Tulips by Power Poppy with Teal Zeal Memento ink. Unfortunately this clear stamp set is not available anymore.

I trimmed the image with my paper cutter and then adhered it to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have drawn some inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her awesomMonthly Classes and Bonus Classes.

Here is a close-up of the colouring before trimming:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Beautiful Butterflies for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #182 on the 5th of April, 2022

I'm a bit late today as we have just come off of daylight saving and I have messed up the time.
Anyway, for this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES
(Use a butterfly)

I searched through images that I had previously stamped or printed that I knew had a butterfly - Power Poppy is always a good bet! So here is a card using Climbing Clematis Digital Stamp Set by the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy:

I have a new ShotBox photo booth, so I am playing with the lighting and placement of the card within the box. So here is another photo a bit further away and one of the inside:

I also took a few photos with the card laying flat and taking the photo from the top:

The image Climbing Clematis Digital Stamp Set was digitally printed on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • green - YG21, YG23, YG25
  • orange - YR12, YR14, YR15, YR18
  • purple - BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29, V20
  • butterflies - V28, V09

I used my paper cutter to cut around the coloured image and adhered it on the front of a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.

Then on the inside of the card, I have adhered two die cut butterflies from the August 2015 Club La-La Land Crafts kit and coloured them with the Copic markers above.

I outlined the sentiment with a black glitter pen.

Here are some close up photos:

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Let's Craft and Create Challenges are monthly and go live on the 5th of every month and you have until the end of the month to add your creations which can be anything goes plus an optional theme.

There is inspiration from the rest of the Let's Craft and Create DT over on the Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, so please pop over to everyone's blog by clicking on their name. We always appreciate a comment or two! :) You can also find out what other challenges are out there, which could give you some ideas for your card stash.

Peaceful Easter by The Paper Shelter for Little Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge LPOCF #179 on the 3rd of April, 2022

Hi All!
Welcome to my post about my card for challenge #179, the 3rd of April 2022 challenge for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog.

Anyway, here is my completed card:

I also took a photo from the top of my new Shotbox with the card flat:

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter and I was the one choosing the image!

So as it is so close to Easter, I chose Peaceful Easter - I love the girl holding the bunny! I have digitally printed the image on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
  • lips - RV66, Wink of Stella
  • hair - E13, E15, E17, E19
  • purple - V12, V15, V17 and V04, V06, V09
  • green - YG61, YG63, YG67 and G40, G43, G46
  • blue - B12, B14, B16
  • pink - RV14, RV17, RV19
  • orange - YR20, YR12, YR14, YR16
  • brown - E84, E87, E89 (branches) and E53, E55, E57, E59 (bunny)
  • background - BG000, BG10
I have also used some glitter pens on the eggs.
I have cut out the coloured image and adhered it on to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.

I have die cut Happy Easter using a new die from Kokorosa Studio and then coloured it with V17.
I originally placed everything on to a smaller card, but it didn't seem to all fit:

So I found a bigger card:

Once I had the layout, I adhered the coloured image using double-sided tape and the Happy Easter using Art Glitter Glue.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Here is a photo close-up of the colouring - you may even see some sparkle:

March 2022 Card Chain Challenge Reveal

I signed up again for the Card Chain Challenge! Essentially you sign up and make a card that you send to the person before you in the sign up and the person that signed up after you, sends you a card!

For March, I made a card to send to Robyn up in sunny Queensland in Australia - this is what I sent her:

Here are the options that we had to make the card:

Theme Options: Forest / Farm / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Patterned Paper / Ripped Edges

I definitely chose the farm theme!

I have used one of the first clear stamp sets from La-La Land Crafts called "From the Herd". It was released in April 2018 and unfortunately is no longer available, but I have been wanting to use it for ages! If I remember correctly there were a bundle of three clear stamp sets and I ordered all of them as a bundle! Plus there were also some Background Stamp sets that were also a bundle, which I also ordered! :)

Anyway, I stamped the individual animals on to X-Press It Blending Card using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured 5 of the seven animals with the following Copics (I ran out of time and space for the pig and rooster!):
  • goat - E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, C3, C5, C7, R30 (nose/ears), 100, white gel pen
  • sheep - C00, C1, C3, R20, E31, E33, 100, white gel pen
  • chicks - Y02, Y15, YR21, YR23, 100, white gel pen
  • cow - C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, R83, RV11, R20, R30, E31, E33, 100, white gel pen
  • sky - B000, B00
  • grass - G03
  • outline - B66
From card stock I then die cut the barn (white) and truck (red) from the May 2020 Club La-La Land Crafts kit as well as the Country Hill die (white) from La-La Land Crafts. I coloured the barns with R27, E37 for the "wooden" trim, E35 for the roof of the big barn, C7 for the doors of the barn and YR23 for the light. I used G03 for the trees and grass, E35 for the tree trunks and E37 for the fence. On the truck, I coloured the wheel hubs and tyres with C7, then the inside of the wheels and the door handle with silver glitter pen.

I fussy-cut the animals, then laid everything out on to a white slimline card from Envelope Solutions to work out where to colour the sky and grass:

Then I coloured the card with sky and grass colours as above:

To hide the Copics coming through on the other side, I adhered a piece of Kraft card to the inside of the card.

I then adhered everything to the front of the card and
used Nautical Blue Memento ink to stamp the sentiment from the May 2020 Club La-La Land Crafts kit:

Here is a photo of the card taken in my new ShotBox from the top (bought it on sale from Spotlight!):

I found inspiration from La-La Land Crafts DT, who showcased some awesome cards using all three stamp sets and background stamps and as usual, from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

Here are close ups of the colouring of the animals:

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

I hope that Robyn likes the card, I was a little late posting it as I have been a little swamped with changing jobs - I bought a new car! :)

Rescue Squad from Doctor Digi Stamps for Winter Wonderland on the 1st of April, 2022

At

Welcome to our third challenge for 2022.

Our theme is:

So here is my project:

Here is a photo taken from above in my new Shotbox!

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme of Winter Sports, which means skiing, skating, sledging etc.

Our sponsor for this challenge iDoctor Digi Stamps.

Welcome to the brilliantly bizarre brain of Dr. Digi's House of Stamps. Here you will find monsters, aliens, odd balls and Dundertons as well as many more.

We had a choice of two images and I chose the image Rescue Squad, which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It blending card and then coloured it with the following Copics markers:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, R20
  • red - R22, R24, R27, R29, R59
  • green - G02, G05, G07
  • grey - C00, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7
  • skis - E13, E15, E18

  • ground - BV20, N0, N1, N3, colourless blender
  • sky - B0000, B000, B00
  • outline - BV20
I have also used a silver glitter pen for the details on the red jacket and used Twinkle Stickles on the fuzzy bit around the face of the jacket.
I cut the image with my paper cutter and adhered it on to a white square card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Here are some close-ups of the colouring - there is a before the Stickles and after the Stickles and you can see the silver glitter pen:
