Tea Time from Jan's Digital Stamps on the 11th of February, 2022

At Colour Crazy Challenge for the 11th of February, 2022, we are sponsored by Jan's Digi Stamps.

Here is my card: I have taken a photo outside in the late afternoon in the sun and then with a bit of shade:

As I mentioned, the sponsor for this challenge is Jan's Digi Stamps.

I have digitally printed the image Tea Time on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • flowers - YR04, V000, V01, V04, V06, V09, BV000, BV00, BV02, BV13, BV08
  • greenery - YG23, YG17, YG67, G99
  • tin - B21, B23, B24, B28, C1, C3, C5
  • grounding - T0, T1, T3
  • background - BG0000, BG000, BG01
  • outline - BV08
I stamped the Socrates quote from Woodland Carpet by Power Poppy (unfortunately it looks like this clear stamp set is now discontinued) in place of the words using Nautical Blue Memento ink and my MISTI.

I have cut the image using my paper cutter, outlined it and adhered it on to a white card from Envelope Solutions. As I was a little skew with placing the image on to the card (it was late!), I added a line of BV08 on to the side of the image.

As usual, I have drawn some inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her awesomMonthly Classes and Bonus Classes.

Here is a close-up of the colouring with and without the sentiment:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Mix It Up Challenge MIUCB #57 - Anything Goes + optional twist of foiling - Leslie decided to keep all her challenge blogs going! :)

From the Heart for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #180 on the 5th of February, 2022

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

FROM THE HEART

So that can mean Valentine's, engagement, wedding etc.

I have wanted to use the January 2020 Club La-La Land Craft kit for a while now!

So here is the front of my card photographed outside in the sun:

Here is a photo of the inside of the card, taken outside:

I have stamped Marci with Pen on to X-Press It Blending card using Ink on 3 Fadeout ink, then I have coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
  • lips - R81, R83, R85
  • eyes - 100, white gel pen
  • hair - E30, E33, E35, E37
  • red - R24, R27, R29, clear Wink of Stella
  • blue pants - B95, B97, B99
  • blue cardigan - B91, B93, B95
  • pen - C5, C7, Y15, clear Wink of Stella

I have then used Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink with the On the Wall stencil on the front of a white square card from Envelope Solutions.

From the January 2020 Club La-La Land Craft kit I have die cut the Envelopes Border, Mailbox and With Love Label dies from white and red cardstock, then combined the two colours of cardstock.

I adhered Marci and the mailbox to the card using foam squares to lift them up from the card and then added the With Love Label, the Envelopes Border and then pieces of the border as single envelopes to the Mailbox and the inside of the card.
The white envelopes on the inside of the card were outlined with R85, to give them a bit more colour on the white base.

Here is a photo of Marci up close - you can see some sparkle!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Shopping Our Stash SOS463 - My Heart Beets for You - use hearts and/or vegetables!!

Let's Craft and Create Challenges are monthly and go live on the 5th of every month and you have until the end of the month to add your creations which can be anything goes plus an optional theme.

Mistletoe Kisses by All Dressed Up Stamps for Winter Wonderland on the 4th of February, 2022

I am a little slow getting this post up tonight - it has been a busy few weeks with my youngest starting high school this week.
But at Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Michelle!

Welcome to our first challenge for 2022.

Our theme is:

All I Want for Christmas is You!

So here is my project:

I also took a photo outside tonight:

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme of All I Want for Christmas is You.

Our sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up:

Here's a bit about All Dressed Up:

Hi, my name's Wendy, founder of All Dressed Up. I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children (my inspiration behind the characters) - in particular, my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with trends and all things digital.

Day to day, I work as a textile designer working traditionally within childrenswear, fashion and interiors. Although my work is mostly digital, my work process remains hand-drawn which I hope comes across in my artwork.

All Dressed Up was created in 2013 as a place to share my digital stamps which back then was a whole new challenge for me. Since, I've been lucky to have discovered a whole creative community and welcomed the All Dressed Up design team who have been amazing to work with. Through our online community and Instagram, the team keep me on my toes to keep on drawing, creating and inspiring. My favourite thing is seeing how my characters are continually given brand new personalities!

On our Facebook and Instagram page we host regular tutorials, challenges (and freebies!) and is the real heart of our community. The stamps are available from the All Dressed Up Etsy shop which is continually updated on a monthly basis with lots of limited edition and seasonal stamps available in particular.

The All Dressed Up community is a friendly bunch (if I do say so myself!) and we would love for you to get involved, see your work and for you to share your stamping tips too! Do get in contact and be sure to visit our Facebook and Instagram pages to see what we're creating at the moment.

We had a choice of two images and I chose the image Mistletoe Kisses from the wonderful Wendy at All Dressed Up Stamps, which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It blending card and then used my paper cutter to cut around the image after I have coloured it with the following Copics markers:
  • left reindeer - E55, E57, E59, R20, C5, C7, white gel pen
  • left reindeer's antlers - E35, E37
  • right reindeer - E15, E17, E19, R20, C5, C7, white gel pen
  • right reindeer's antlers - E13, E15
  • mistletoe - R85, G03, G09
  • ground - C00, C1, C3, colourless blender
  • sky - B0000, B000, B00, colourless blender
  • outline - G09
I then adhered the coloured image on to a white square card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
Classic Design Challenge February #2 - February Anything Goes
The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up Challenge #85 - Anything Goes Christmas with the Optional Twist of Hearts - I have mistletoe, which can lead to kisses and then hearts!!

January 2022 Card Chain Challenge Reveal

I found a new challenge late last year - the Card Chain Challenge! Essentially you sign up and make a card that you send to the person before you in the sign up and the person that signed up after you, sends you a card!

So I signed up for January and made a card to send to Dee in Kenya - this is what I sent her:

Here are the options that we had to make the card:

Theme Options: New / Scraps / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Glitter or sequins / Embossing Folder

I chose the sketch and the theme of friendship, also I used some new stash that I had not used before!

So I have used Autumn Molli from the wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts, along with the Rise & Shine Background stamp and a couple of the sentiments that came with it. Then I have used a Fiskars tag maker that I had bought recently from Spotlight and Cosmic Stickles.
I have stamped Autumn Molli on to X-Press It Blending card using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured with the following Copics:
  • skin - E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
  • hair - E30, E31, E55, E57
  • green - YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97
  • purple - V01 (as my V12 needs more ink!), V15, V17, BV08
  • grey - W1, W3, W5, W7
I followed the colouring of Martha in th'FALL BLESSINGS' FOLIO CLASS from La-La Land Crafts and then I fussy cut Molli.

I then used Elderberry and Nautical Blue Memento ink on the Rise & Shine Background stamp and stamped on to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.

I used the Fiskars tag maker to cut out two tags from some white cardstock, I then stamped the two sentiments - one for the front and one for the inside using both the Elderberry and Nautical Blue Memento ink. I used a bit of Art Glitter glue and then the Cosmic Stickles to adhere the tags to the card.

Here are also photos of the inside and the back of the card:

Here is a close up of the colouring of Molli:

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

I hope that Dee likes the card, although with the delays in postage at the moment, it may have not arrived yet!
