Polka Dots and/or Stripes for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #222 on the 5th of August, 2025

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Polka Dots and/or Stripes

I made a very quick birthday card for my Mum using a design that was sent to my email from Cards by Kendra and then paper and die from La-La Land Crafts and sentiments from Power Poppy! So, here is my card:

So the products are:
I used my paper cutter to cut 2" x 3" rectangles of the paper, then I cut them into triangles. The edges of each triangle were (I can't think of the word, nor the tool!) roughed up. I then adhered the triangles to a piece of pearl cardstock using score tape (it seemed easier to line up then using glue).

Here is a photo before adhering to the card:

I stamped the sentiment using Elderberry Memento ink and my MISTI and then one of the Rounded Stitched Rectangles Die to die cut the sentiment piece.

I adhered the pearl cardstock with the triangles to the white card from Envelope Solutions and then attached the sentiment piece with foam tape.

Here is a photo from the side, showing the sentiment piece popped up:

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges:
Classic Design Challenge #07-2025 Jul/Aug - Anything Goes with Optional Twist: Sun, Sand or Surf
Mix It Up Challenge MIUCB #78 - Anything Goes + optional Mixed Media - I was a top pick last month!
Creative Fingers Challenge #305 - Anything Goes - I was top three in Challenge #304! :)

Let's Craft and Create Challenges are monthly and go live on the 5th of every month and you have until the end of the month to add your creations which can be anything goes plus an optional theme.

There is inspiration from the rest of the Let's Craft and Create DT over on the Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, so please pop over to everyone's blog by clicking on their name. We always appreciate a comment or two! :) You can also find out what other challenges are out there, which could give you some ideas for your card stash.

Thanks for looking!
