Things with Wings for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #224 on the 5th of October, 2025

 

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Things with Wings

I was thinking of making a card with some flowers and butterflies, but then I came across a paper from Home for Christmas by La-La Land Crafts for my LPOCF card and on the other side there were some beautiful birds, so I re-designed this card using some die cuts that I already had from making cards from the La-La Land Crafts Virtual Christmas Cards Class from 2024! 

So, here is my card:

Most of the products used on this card are actually already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:

• Home for Christmas Paper Pack - this was a paper pack from 2023 that is now discontinued 
• Cardinal Die
• Layered Poinsettia Die
• Olive Branches Die - this was originally part of the April 2022 KOTM

The cardinal and centre of the poinsettia were coloured with the following Copics: 

• red - R24, R27, R39
• beak/centre - YR24
• feet - E19
• black - C9
• eye - C4

I also outlined the paper in C4.

The paper was adhered to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions and then the olive branches adhered with Art Glitter glue. I unfortunately dropped the first branch on the card and it left a bunch of little drops of glue! So I added another olive branch, adhered the poinsettia and the cardinal before using White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops to adhere a few Iridescent Clear Drops by Pinkfresh Studio. I also added a few extra drops of the Nuvo Glitter Drops!
