Beautiful Butterflies (Use a butterfly) for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #206 on the 5th of April, 2024

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Beautiful Butterflies (Use a butterfly)

I again decided to do something quick and easy using La-La Land Crafts products, as I have been working quite a bit.

So, here is my card:

This card is actually a lift, or hitchhike from the Lift Challenge from last month and is called a Trellis Split Card Front Design! Bibi Cameron has some awesome examples. So I gave it a go using a white slimline card from Envelope Solutions. I just cut off 4 strips of around 1.5 cm and then two strips of 0.5 cm and used the narrower strips as the joining pieces - I adhered everything with double sided tape and glue. It was fun to make!

Then I have die cut daisies from one of the papers from the Life Documented Paper Pack and Open Daisy die. The centre of the flower is the other side of the paper. The stems and leaves were die cut from green cardstock.

Then I die cut the butterfly from another piece of the Life Documented Paper Pack and Butterfly die. I actually drew around the die on to Kraft paper and adhered the butterfly wings and body on to it as I wanted to include all the inside pieces.

I then die cut an oval from white cardstock using Double Stitched Ovals die and then stamped the sentiment from A Good Day Clear Stamp Set using Bahama Blue Memento ink.

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges:
Classic Design Challenge #03-2024 Mar/Apr - Anything Goes with Optional Twist: 4-Legged Friends
Mix It Up Challenge MIUCB #70 - Anything Goes + Optional Fancy Fold

Let's Craft and Create Challenges are monthly and go live on the 5th of every month and you have until the end of the month to add your creations which can be anything goes plus an optional theme.

There is inspiration from the rest of the Let's Craft and Create DT over on the Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, so please pop over to everyone's blog by clicking on their name. We always appreciate a comment or two! :) You can also find out what other challenges are out there, which could give you some ideas for your card stash.

Thanks for looking!
