Merry and Bright for the Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 4th of October, 2019

At Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Marie, who has chosen the theme:
Merry and Bright!

So here is my card:

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme.

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

Sherry West who is the owner-designer of Sherry West Art is a digital and rubber stamp artist, colouring book artist and the author-illustrator of a very silly new children's book title "It's Raining Cats!  It's Raining Dogs!  It's Raining Bats! And Pollywogs!" (Morgan James Publishing) which is available now on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and more.

She is a member of the Society of Children's book Writers and Illustrators, an ESL teacher, a published educational curriculum writer, award winning poet and semi-pro photographer who work has been accepted by Getty Images.

Married for 20 years to a very patient guy with 3 really funny kids, 2 fluffy dust bunny chinchillas, 1 huge hairy dog and 13 random cats.

Her art is being sold as rubber stamps by Stamp Addicts in the UK and has appeared on Hochanda twice.

And the prize on offer for our lucky winner is:

a surprise from Sherry!

So back to my card:
I have joined two mice - mirror images of each other and digitally printed them on to X-Press It blending card, which I then cut out using my paper cutter.
I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • mouse on left - E41, E31, E33, E35, R20, R30, G02, G05, G07, G19, 100
  • mouse on right - E41, E43, E44, E47, R20, R30, R22, R24, R27, R29, 100
  • tags - E41, G05 or R27
  • presents - E41, E43, G05 or R27
  • berries - R56, R59
  • holly leaves - YG03, YG07, G07
  • grounding - C00, C0, C1, C3, C5
  • background - YG17, YG06, Y02, RV02, RV55, V04, V17, B69, B99
  • outline - B99
The background is from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder using one of her background techniques classes - the Northern Lights class.
I have stamped the sentiment in Nautical Blue Memento ink and the rays of light in Elderberry Memento ink, both from Let Your Heart Be Light from the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy and then adhered the coloured image on to a white card from Envelope Solutions.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:
