The Friendship Collection by Gina at Weeds and Wildflowers Supply

I am happy to say that Gina is back! Many years ago, (well, it probably wasn't that long ago, but it seems that long ago!) I did a bunch of digital scrapbooking using Weeds and Wildflowers Designs products from Gina - I put together a whole book about Christofer's first year of life and gave it to his godparents and grandparents. I also did a bunch of Project 365 layouts, but then I got too busy and Gina stopped designing.....but now she is back! So excited!! I have put together two layouts so far, a desktop and a layout about Christofer's last cricket match for this first term season. Here they are:

March 2021 Desktop using papers and elements from The Friendship Collection, Simple Squares 7 for the calendar and Simple Squares 33 for "March" on the calendar. The photo is our view looking out over the hills towards the city in the morning.

Last Cricket Match using paper, elements and alphas from The Friendship Collection. The photos are of Christofer playing cricket.

I will add more layouts as I make them. I have just moved over to a new computer which also means the latest version of PSE....the PSE part is fine, it is just like my old version, but the Organizer is a pain in the you know what!!! But maybe I haven't set it up properly yet.... :)

I finished this card in the evening, so I was not able to take a photo outside, so you really can't see the sparkle on this image.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

Elephant Christmas Tree by Bugaboo Stamps for Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 5th of March, 2021

At Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Christine.
Welcome to our third challenge for 2021.

Our theme is:

Trees

So here is my card:

I took this photo outside in some sunshine, but you can't see the sparkle very well - however the close up image below shows a heap of sparkle from the glitter pens!

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme.
"Theme"

Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps:

Everything that you ever wanted to know about Bugaboo Stamps - a short essay!
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of paper crafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was seven years ago.

Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.

Jodie works hard to provide new releases and freebies every week!

And the prize on offer for our lucky winner is:
$12 gift code to spend in the Bugaboo Stamps store.

I chose Elephant Christmas Tree for my image, which I digitally printed on to X-Press It blending card and then cut out using my paper cutter.
I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • elephant - C00, C0, C1, C3, C5, R20, G07, clear Wink of Stella
  • hat green - G02, G05, G07
  • hat red - R22, R24, R27, clear Wink of Stella
  • tree - YG03, G14, G17, G29
  • stocking green - G12, G14, G17
  • stocking blue - B12, B14, B16
  • stocking purple - V20, V22, V25
  • ornaments - glitter pens
  • tag - E30, E34
  • ribbon - R22, R24
  • brown - E13, E15, E17
  • background - BG0000, BG000
  • outline - BG01
I then adhered the coloured image on to a white square card from Envelope Solutions, which I stamped on all four edges with one of the border stamps from Snuggle Down by the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy using Elderberry Memento ink and my MISTI. Unfortunately Snuggle Down seems to have been retired.

The sentiment is from Deck the Halls Clear Stamp Set by the wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts, but it also seems to have been retired. I have stamped the sentiment in Nautical Blue Memento ink using my MISTI.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Here are some close-ups of the sentiment and colouring:

Just looking at the part of the image between the elephant and the tree - I didn't realise that it was a present! I thought it was a balustrade or something wooden with a tag and a ribbon!

Anyway, I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
2 Crafty Critter Crazies March Challenge - Anything Goes as long as there is a critter or two!
ABC Christmas Challenges E, F and G - G is for Garland on the tree
Christmas with the Cuties Challenge #46 - Anything Christmas Goes as long as it is cute and optional theme of Elves/Gnomes and Fairies
Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round March Challenge - Something that starts with E and/or F - I have an elephant!

Ferris Wheel Decoupage Card for Love to Craft Challenge Blog #56 on the 1st of March, 2021

As I was commenting for one of my design teams, I came across Duncan Street Designs by Donna who was doing a week long stash busting challenge. So for my second challenge with Love to Craft Challenge Blog, I decided to look through my stash of magazine freebies and create a couple of cards. I have also used a stamp from my stash of Club La-La Land Crafts from May 2017.

Anyway, here is my card:

It was part of a freebie Trimcraft glitter decoupage kit by Helz Cuppleditch which was in issue 139 of the Papercraft Inspirations magazine from June 2015!!!!

I outlined each piece with B14 and/or YG07 (I can't get away with not using my Copics markers!) and put it all together using foam squares.
Then for the sentiment, I have coloured a piece of X-Press It Blending card with B12 and outlined with B14, then stamped one of the sentiments from the May 2017 Club La-La Land Crafts kit using Rich Cocoa Memento ink (I think? I didn't write it down, but it looks like Rich Cocoa!)

I have cut a piece of the glitter paper that came with the kit, outlined it with B14 and adhered it to a Kraft square card from Envelope Solutions, then attached the decoupage ferris wheel and sentiment.

Here is another photo showing the glitter more:

Forever Friends Bears for Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog #32 on the 1st of March, 2021

While I was commenting for one of my design teams, I came across Duncan Street Designs by Donna who was doing a week long stash busting challenge - so I decided to do the same!

So for my second challenge with Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog, I looked through my stash of magazine freebies and create a few cards.

Anyway, here is my card:

The decoupage was part of a freebie called Forever Friends Kraft Notes and for the life of me I can't find the magazine that it came from and searching the internet for it did not yield much, so it is really old!! But quite adorable.

I have outlined each piece with E33 and then put it all together using foam squares. The sentiments were all part of the set, as was the spotted paper. I have adhered everything to a square Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.

Here is another photo:
