Love Live Laugh for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #191 on the 5th of January, 2023

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

Black and White

Here is my card:

I have kept it pretty simple this month - I have my craft room upstairs where I work during the week and every now and then I try and tidy up! I happened across this Chapter One paper pack from KaiserCraft in my stash and thought it would work perfectly for Black and White! Unfortunately it is no longer available, but I am going to try and use what I have in my stash this year (although I think I have said that for a few years now!!)

Here is a photo of my card with the paper pad:

I selected four different mainly black and white papers from the paper pad and cut them to fit in the four quadrants of my white square card from Envelope Solutions. The black with white spots is actually furry! Or what they are calling Flocking.
I adhered the four pieces and then adhered two of the die cut borders from the back in between the four pieces in the centre.

Here is another photo:

Kiss for Valentine's by All Dressed Up Stamps for Little Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #197 on the 1st of January, 2023

Hi All!
Welcome to my post about my card for challenge #197, the 1st of January 2023 challenge for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. I'm writing this on a hot Sunday New Year's Day after we have returned from the cooler beaches of Goolwa, where I coloured my image and tried to take photos.

Anyway, here is my completed card as I noticed I had not completed the colouring of the flowers on the right - this is taken in my foto box today:

These two photos are taken in the sun at Goolwa:

Our sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up:

Here's a bit about All Dressed Up:

Hi, my name's Wendy, founder of All Dressed Up. I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children (my inspiration behind the characters) - in particular, my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with trends and all things digital.

Day to day, I work as a textile designer working traditionally within childrenswear, fashion and interiors. Although my work is mostly digital, my work process remains hand-drawn which I hope comes across in my artwork.

All Dressed Up was created in 2013 as a place to share my digital stamps which back then was a whole new challenge for me. Since, I've been lucky to have discovered a whole creative community and welcomed the All Dressed Up design team who have been amazing to work with. Through our online community and Instagram, the team keep me on my toes to keep on drawing, creating and inspiring. My favourite thing is seeing how my characters are continually given brand new personalities!

On our Facebook and Instagram page we host regular tutorials, challenges (and freebies!) and is the real heart of our community. The stamps are available from the All Dressed Up Etsy shop which is continually updated on a monthly basis with lots of limited edition and seasonal stamps available in particular.

The All Dressed Up community is a friendly bunch (if I do say so myself!) and we would love for you to get involved, see your work and for you to share your stamping tips too! Do get in contact and be sure to visit our Facebook and Instagram pages to see what we're creating at the moment.

Prize is 2 images from All Dressed Up Stamps.

I chose to use Kiss for Valentine's by All Dressed Upwhich I have digitally printed on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • giraffes - E11, E13, E15, E17, YR21, YR24, YR27, C0, C1, C2, RV13
  • sky - B0000, B000, B00, B01, colourless blender
  • pink - RV13, RV14, RV17, RV19
  • yellow - Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17
  • purple - BV000, BV00, BV01
  • green - G03, G05, G07, G28
  • outline - BV01
I have cut out the image using my paper cutter and then adhered to a Kraft square card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Here is a photo close-up of the colouring before it was adhered to the card:

By The Pool for Love to Craft Challenge #72 for January/February 2023

For challenge #72 for Jan/Feb 2023 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I decided to keep it simple and use the same card design as I used for my Merry Little Christmas Challenge card and images that I have been wanting to use for a while from La-La Land Crafts. So I have used some dies from my La-La Land Crafts stash and made a double shadow box card which is the Day 5 tutorial by the wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts last year, well the year before last now - 2021!!

Here is my card for this month:

I have stamped the three critters from Sunshiny Day Clear Stamp Set from the wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts on to X-Press It Blending card using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • hippo - E40, E41, E43, E44, R30, C00, C0, C1
  • hippo's towel - C00, C1, C3
  • hippo's bathers - R24, R27, R46, R59
  • hippo's snorkel and mask - B14, B16, B18, B00
  • rhino - W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, C0, C1
  • rhino's bathers - B14, B16, B18
  • rhino's drink - B000, B00, B01
  • rhino's floating ring - Y32, Y35, Y38, YR16
  • elephant - C00, C0, C1, C2, R000, R00, R30, W0, W1
  • elephant's bathers - Y32, Y35, Y38
  • elephant's bottle - W1, W2, BG00, BV00
  • elephant's bubble wand - B14, B16
  • bubbles - BG00
I fussy cut the critters and then diecut the two largest layers of the Under the Sea die in white AC cardstock. I already die cut for a previous project the sun from Sun Smiles Die and a cloud from Three Clouds Die. All the dies are from La-La Land Crafts.
I also cut a piece of paper for the background from white cardstock that I sponged with Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks. I also had some silver card.

I assembled my double shadow box card according to Irina's awesome video (linked above), except I have attached it to a white square card from Envelope Solutions.
I have used Teal Zeal Memento ink to stamp the sentiment using my MISTI on to the Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die sentiment piece.

Here are some close ups of the critters after I fussy cut them:

Here is a photo from one side and then the other:

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and used some inspiration from the cards of the La-La Land Crafts Design Team on Facebook.

Fuzzy Hugs for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #48 for January/February 2023

For challenge #48 for Jan/Feb 2023 of the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I chose to use Yeti images that I have been wanting to use for a while from La-La Land CraftsThen I have also used some dies from my La-La Land Crafts stash and made a double shadow box card which is the Day 5 tutorial by the wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts last year, well the year before last now - 2021!!

Here is my card for this month:

I have stamped the three Yetis from Fuzzy Hugs Clear Stamp Set from the wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts on to X-Press It Blending card using London Fog Memento ink and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • face - E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, R30
  • tooth - C0, C1
  • fur - W0, W1, W2, W3, W4, W5
  • scarf/mug - BV000, BV00, BV02
  • mug/horns - BG10, BG11, BG23, BG34
I fussy cut the Yetis and then diecut the two largest layers of the Cave die and the Snowbanks die in white AC cardstock, then the two trees from the Snow Globe die and Build-A-Frame Stitched Large die in some white card from my stash. I was cleaning upstairs in my office/craft room and found a few of the Winter Branches already die cut from a previous project (some even had clear Wink of Stella on them too!). All the dies are from La-La Land Crafts.
I also cut a piece of paper for the background from Starry Night Paper Pack. I also had some gold card.

I assembled my double shadow box card according to Irina's awesome video (linked above), except I have attached it to a white square card from Envelope Solutions.
I have used Nautical Blue Memento ink to stamp the sentiment using my MISTI on to the Build-A-Frame Stitched Large die sentiment piece.

Here is a photo of the card before I adhered the Yetis - you can see the snowbank:

Here is a close-up of the three Yetis before I fussy cut them:

Here is a different angle of the card with everything attached:

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and I also used some inspiration from the cards of the La-La Land Crafts Design Team on Facebook.
