Vintage Christmas by Power Poppy for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #178 on the 5th of December 2021

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

VINTAGE

I have a heap of vintage type stamps from Power Poppy, but I wanted to try something different to make it more vintagey, so I came up with this card:

I chose to use Fully Stocked by the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy
Using my MISTI and Rich Cocoa Memento ink, I have stamped two of the stocking images directly on to a Kraft slimline card from Envelope Solutions and then coloured them with coloured Prismacolour pencils.
I also stamped the sentiment from Fully Stocked in Rich Cocoa Memento ink.
You can't buy the full stamp set with three stockings anymore, but you can buy the stockings individually as digital stamps: Garden Stocking and Teddy Bear Stocking are the two that I used.

Here is another photo taken inside:

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder. I also drew some inspiration from the Power Poppy Design Team.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Let's Craft and Create Challenges are monthly and go live on the 5th of every month and you have until the end of the month to add your creations which can be anything goes plus an optional theme.

Winter Wonderland on the 3rd of December 2021

At Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Stacey!
Welcome to our twelfth and last challenge for 2021.

Our theme is:

anything Christmas goes

So here is my project:

I also took a photo inside last night:

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme of ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES.

Our sponsor for this challenge is SheepSki Designs:

Living in Leeds, Yorkshire in the UK, working full time as a Management Accountant, currently working on 2 design teams and an obsessive crafter and creator of cards. I have no actual style as yet but do love the unusual and quirky. I may be known for producing cards in soft pastel colours. I love anything arty. I've always drawn stuff, for as long as I can remember. In my younger days I sold a few watercolour paintings. I recently found mixed media which is a joy and love creating canvases with flowers. I had a battle with digital drawing for about a year and finally found some software I could gel with.

In January 2016 a challenge team I worked on was short of a designer's images to create with so to the crafting world, to the lovely ladies who have supported me on my journey. I've a Facebook group SheepSki Designs where I hold challenges, some for fun to win digis as well as my monthly card challenge. I've a SheepSki Designs challenge blog as well. Things are growing slowly (thankfully) so I still manage to spend at least a little time with my hubby. Welcome to my world Andrea xx

We had a choice of two images and I chose the image Snowman Selfie from the wonderful Andrea at SheepSki Designs, which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It blending card and then used my paper cutter to cut around the image after I have coloured it with the following Copics markers:
  • red - R24, R29, R59
  • green - G14, G07, G28
  • black - C5, C7, C9
  • stick arm - E27
  • pipe - E93, E95
  • orange - YR02, YR04, YR09
  • snowmen - C00, C0, C1, C3
  • coal eyes and mouths - black glitter pen
  • white of the hat - clear Wink of Stella
  • outline - C9
I then adhered the coloured image on to a white square card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Here is a close-up of the colouring - hopefully you can see the sparkle!

For my December c

Here is my little Christmas tag for this month:

Here is another photo of the tag hanging from a rose bush outside:

I have used the cute hedgehogs from Holiday Smiles which is a new clear stamp set in the November 2021 release from the wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts which I have stamped on to X-Press It Blending card using Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

I have followed the colouring tips and colours of Copic markers from the awesome Martha in the Holiday Photo Keeper Class.

I have then die cut some white cardstock using the second biggest Large Stitched Tags die from La-La Land Crafts, then I also cut one of the papers from Little Merry Christmas Paper Pack using the second smallest Large Stitched Tags die.

The sentiment is also from Holiday Smiles and I have stamped it using my MISTI with Nautical Blue Memento ink on to white cardstock that I have die cut using Cameo Frames also from La-La Land Crafts. I inked around everything with Nautical Blue Memento ink.

Also, here is a close up of the little hedgehogs - as you can see there is one that I didn't use that I coloured and there is another that I haven't coloured yet, so I will probably do another tag!

EnTWINEd for Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog on the 5th of November, 2021

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

EnTWINEd (use twine)

So I searched through my stash to find something that I have not used before, but have wanted to use for ages and came up with this card:

I chose to use Knitting Marci and one of the kitties from Knit Happens which are part of the December 2020 Club La-La Land Crafts kit by the wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts
I have stamped the images on to X-Press It Blending Card and then coloured them with Copics before fussy cutting them out (I'm actually getting into fussy cutting now! Although give me a die anytime!!)
I also used the the basket from the Club kit, I stamped the background using Sweater Weather and I stamped the sentiment on one of the Long Flags Die.

Here is another photo:

As I mentioned, I have coloured the images with the following Copics markers:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, R30
  • hair - E21, E23, E25, E29
  • lips - R20, R22
  • pants/shoes - B91, B93, B95, B97
  • top - V01, V12, V15, V17
  • knitting - Y13, Y15, Y17, E15
  • kitty - C3, C5, C7, C9, R20
  • yarn - Y13, Y15, Y17
Here is Marci and the kitty after I fussy cut them out:

After I fussy cut, stamped the background on to a white square card from
Envelope Solutions, then die cut the long flag from a pale blue cardstock, I stamped the sentiment using my MISTI and Nautical Blue Memento ink then I arranged everything on the card before I stuck it all down.
For the twine - I tied some yellow and white paper cord that I found in my stash around the top of the card and tied it off!

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder. I also drew some inspiration from the La-La Land Crafts Blog.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Let's Craft and Create Challenges are monthly and go live on the 5th of every month and you have until the end of the month to add your creations which can be anything goes plus an optional theme.
