I have digitally printed the image Garden Gnome which I have used before on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured the image with the following Copics markers:

I trimmed the image with my paper cutter and then adhered it to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have drawn some inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her awesome Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes.

I also stamped a sentiment from the May 2018 Club La-La Land Crafts kit by La-La Land Crafts in Nautical Blue Memento ink using my MISTI.

Floral Heart by SheepSki Designs for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #187 on the 7th of August, 2022

Hi All!

Welcome to my post about my card for challenge #187, the 7th of August 2022 challenge for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. I'm writing this on Sunday afternoon after I have just sent Kelly my image which is a bit delayed as I have been travelling this week for work and I had to deal with a family emergency yesterday and just have not had the energy to finish!

Anyway, here is my completed card:

I chose to use Floral Heart by SheepSki Designs, which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics markers:

• butterfly - B12 (body), BV00, BV20, BV13, BV17
• pansies - Y15, V01, V04, V06
• blue flowers - B12, B14, B16
• yellow flowers - Y13, Y15, Y18, B14
• blue/green flowers - BG11, BG53, BG57
• pink flowers - RV00, RV10, RV14, RV17
• small flowers - V22, V25
• background - G0000, G000, G00
• outline - BG57

I have cut out the coloured image using my paper cutter and then adhered to a white square card from Envelope Solutions.

The sentiments are from Short Stacks and Go Wild by Power Poppy (both sets look like they are discontinued) and they have been stamped using Nautical Blue Memento ink and my MISTI.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Feeling Distressed (Distress Paper) for Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog on the 5th of August, 2022

I am a little slow adding this to my blog this month - I have been travelling for work and the weekend has been crazy just trying to catch up!

Anyway, for this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

Feeling Distressed (Distress Paper)

I thought of some sepia colouring that we did for the La-La Land Crafts Virtual Cardmaking Workshop and using my paper distressing tool that I have not used!

Here is my card:

I have stamped Marci with Suitcase from La-La Land Crafts with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with Copics pens from the E50s and RV52 for the flowers. Then I fussy cut her.

I have found a piece of paper from my stash and treated it to my paper distressing tool before using Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink on the edges.

I have die cut some white card stock using the smallest Pierced Scalloped Ovals die set from La-La Land Crafts and then treated the oval with Tea Dye Distress ink and stamped the sentiment from Marci with Suitcase using Nautical Blue Memento ink and my MISTI.

I have adhered the distressed paper on to a Kraft slimline card from Envelope Solutions using double-sided tape. Then using foam tape, I have adhered the sentiment and Marci on to the front.

Reindeer for Winter Wonderland Challenge on the 5th of August, 2022

 

At Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Dawn!

Welcome to our seventh challenge for 2022.

Our theme is:

Reindeer

So here is my project:

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme of Reindeer.

We do not have a sponsor for this challenge.

I have been looking at all the freebies I receive with my cardmaking magazines and I chose to use one of those for this challenge - I am not sure which magazine this is from, but I have die cut the Scandi-style heart die from red cardstock multiple times. I punched out all the pieces and then glued the heart on to a small white square card from Envelope Solutions. I then added two reindeers either side of the heart.

I then used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment from Happiest of Holidays Clear Stamp set by La-La Land Crafts in Love Letter Memento ink.

July 2022 Card Chain Challenge Reveal

 

I am a little late posting this as I am travelling for work this week.

I signed up again for the Card Chain Challenge! Essentially you sign up and make a card that you send to the person before you in the sign up and the person that signed up after you, sends you a card!

For July, I made a card to send to Lucille in New Jersey - this is what I sent her:

Here are the options that we had to make the card:

Theme Options: Birds / Wheels / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Something a friend sent you / Stitches

When I saw the theme, I immediately thought of Marci on a bike and the seagulls from the Club La-La Land Crafts kit and it all just came together!

Marci on a bike was originally from the June 2021 Club La-La Land Crafts kit (it is now available separately) and the seagulls are from the June 2022 Club La-La Land Crafts kit. I have also used the lighthouse die from the June 2015 Club La-La Land Crafts kit, the Sun Smiles die, the Three Clouds die, the Seaside die and the Pilings Border die from the June 2022 Club La-La Land Crafts kit.

I have stamped Marci on a bike and the gulls on to X-Press It Blending card using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured them with the following Copics:

• eyes - B00, B01 BG02, white gel pen
• lips - RV63, RV66, white gel pen

I die cut the lighthouse, seaside and pilings from white card stock and then coloured them with the following Copics markers:

• pilings grass - YG67

To finish the front of the card, I found the yellow spotted paper in my stash and cut it to fit as my path, then I adhered everything to the front of a white square card from Envelope Solutions.
