At Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Stacey.
Welcome to our fifth challenge for 2021.

"Theme"

Our sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up:

Here's a bit about All Dressed Up:

Hi, my name's Wendy, founder of All Dressed Up. I live in Nottingham UK with my husband and two children (my inspiration behind the characters) - in particular, my daughter who has kept me up-to-date with trends and all things digital.

Day to day, I work as a textile designer working traditionally within childrenswear, fashion and interiors. Although my work is mostly digital, my work process remains hand-drawn which I hope comes across in my artwork.

All Dressed Up was created in 2013 as a place to share my digital stamps which back then was a whole new challenge for me. Since, I've been lucky to have discovered a whole creative community and welcomed the All Dressed Up design team who have been amazing to work with. Through our online community and Instagram, the team keep me on my toes to keep on drawing, creating and inspiring. My favourite thing is seeing how my characters are continually given brand new personalities!

On our Facebook and Instagram page we host regular tutorials, challenges (and freebies!) and is the real heart of our community. The stamps are available from the All Dressed Up Etsy shop which is continually updated on a monthly basis with lots of limited edition and seasonal stamps available in particular.

The All Dressed Up community is a friendly bunch (if I do say so myself!) and we would love for you to get involved, see your work and for you to share your stamping tips too! Do get in contact and be sure to visit our Facebook and Instagram pages to see what we're creating at the moment.

I chose Sledging Pup for my image, which I digitally printed four times in various sizes on to X-Press It blending card and then cut out using my paper cutter.
I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • sleds - E31, E33, E35, E37
  • pups 1 and 4 - E11, E13, E15, E18, 100, piece of nappy with colourless blender, clear Wink of Stella on the nose

Hi All!
Welcome to my post about my card for the fifth challenge of 2021 for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog.

Here is my card:

The sponsor for this challenge is:

Prize ~ 3 images

I chose the digital stamp Summer Fairy from Fabrika Fantasy which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It Blending Card in a grey setting so that you can't see the outline (in retrospect, I should have left it darker!). I have used my paper cutter to cut around my image, followed by colouring with the following Copics:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
  • hair - E33, E35, E37, E39
  • eyes - BG45, BG57, BG49, 100
  • eyeshadow - B06, clear Wink of Stella
  • lips - RV55, RV66, clear Wink of Stella
  • cherries - R11, R37, R59, RV99, YG00, G17, clear Wink of Stella
  • apple - R11, R35, R37, R59
  • leaves - G03, G17, G29
  • peaches - YR12, YR15, YR18
  • pears - YG03, YG63, Y26, E44
  • blackberries - BV25, B29, G94, G99
  • rubies on necklace - R37, R39, clear Wink of Stella
  • branches - E44, E47
  • bowl - E43, E44
  • butterflies - B12, B14, B16, clear Wink of Stella, black glitter pen (the one at the top also has the green from the leaves as an undercoat!)
  • dress - V22, V25, V28, purple glitter pen

I have adhered the coloured image on to a white card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes. The background is actually a combination of a few different classes.

I have to say, part way through colouring this image I was thinking, why did I choose this one!? Especially as I chose to print it grey so that it was effectively no lines colouring. But I am always up for a challenge with my colouring (Alyce has taught us this!), so I am happy I stuck with it and am really pleased with the results, even though I coloured one of the butterflies as leaves to start and I had an issue with a leaking pen. I eventually drew some inspiration from Jackie who coloured this image in 2019 for Colour Crazy Challenge. Thanks Jackie!

Here are a couple of close-ups of the colouring - in the first photo, my E39 pen leaked! But I was able to cover it up :)
