Deck The Palms for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #61 on the 1st of March 2025

For challenge #61 for March/April 2025 of the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I used some of my products from La-La Land Crafts and based the design off a card that I created from the La-La Land Crafts Colour & Create Virtual Retreat in early February!

Here is my card for this month:

and here is a photo from the side:

This is Martha's design and all the products used on this card are actually already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:
The three Santas and palm tree were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to X-Press It Blending card and coloured with the following Copics:
  • skin - E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
  • red - R22, R24, R29, R39
  • turquoise - BG11, BG13, BG18
  • white/grey - W0, W1, W3, W5
  • palm tree - E40, E41, E43, E44
  • palm leaves - YG21, YG23, YG17
  • drink - RV63, RV66
I used B01 between Santa's legs and between the leaves of the palm tree, then I used glossy accents on the glasses, floatie and lights on the palm tree, then White Blizzard nuvo glitter drops on the Santa hats. As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Here is a close up photo of the coloured images before I adhered them to the card:

I followed Martha's card design - I used vintage photo, tumbled glass and salty ocean Distress Oxide ink for the inside of the rum bottle and just the vintage photo for the sand.
I cut out some of the palm trees from the Summer Vacation Paper and then popped them up with foam tape, as was the sun. The inside of the rum bottle and Santas on the front were also popped up with foam tape. The palm tree was adhered to the card with Art Glitter glue.
I stamped the two sentiments on to white cardstock using Onyx Black Versafine ink and then the sentiments and black matting pieces were distressed with my scissors (even though I have a distressing tool somewhere!)
The sentiment on the front of the card was popped up and everything on the inside of the card was adhered with Art Glitter glue.

Here is a photo of the inside with the card flat:

Birthday Flamingoes for Love to Craft Challenge #85 on the 1st of March 2025

For challenge #85 for March/April 2025 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I made a card during the La-La Land Crafts Colour & Create Virtual Retreat in early February and we used stamps, dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts

Here is my card for this month:

For this card, everything was prepared for us and we just had to colour the images, fussy cut them and then organise the card! :) This is Martha's design and all the products used on this card are actually already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:
The two flamingoes were stamped and we used the following Copics:
  • purple - V12, V15, V17, BV08
  • blue - BG11, BG13, BG18
  • yellow - Y11, Y15, Y17

I also used white gel pen on the flamingoes. Vintage photo, tumbled glass and salty ocean Distress Oxide ink were used for the inside of the rum bottle and just the vintage photo for the sand.
I cut out some of the palm trees from the Summer Vacation Paper and then popped them up with foam tape, as was the sun. The inside of the rum bottle and flamingoes were also popped up with foam tape.
The sentiment was already stamped and as suggested by Martha, I distressed the sentiment and black matting piece with my scissors (even though I have a distressing tool somewhere!)

Here is a photo of the two flamingoes after I fussy cut them:
