Distressed Paper for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #234 on the 5th of August 2026

Hi All!

I'm a little late posting as it has just been crazy busy! And Winter is still here - preparing for a very cold and rainy weekend.
Anyway, for this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Distressed Paper

I wanted to use stamps, dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts that I have not used yet. So, here is my card:

For this card, I took inspiration from some of the projects posted by the La-La Land Crafts DT. All of these products are from the Summer 2026 Release and are already in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:

• Puffin By Clear Stamp Set
• By The Sea Paper Pack
• Porthole Die
• Palm Trees Die

The Puffins were stamped on to X-Press It Blending Card with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and I coloured them with the following Copics: 

• Puffins - N0, N1, N3, N5, N7, N9, R20, YR04, YR07, YR09, Y13, Y15, Y18, white gel pen
• hat and flag - B12, B14, B16, B18, clear Wink of Stella (hat)
• sand castle - E31, E33, E35, E37

Here is a photo close up of the puffins after they were coloured:

I distressed the edges of the paper as well the image looks a little distressed! Then I used Vintage Photo Distressed Oxide ink on the edges. I then adhered the paper to a white square card from Envelope Solutions.

I die cut the porthole from Kraft cardstock as well as gold cardstock, then adhered them together before adhering them on to the card.

I die cut the palm trees from Kraft cardstock and the smaller one from green cardstock, then stamped Pine Needles Distress Oxide ink on to them. I adhered them to the side of the card.

I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink and my MISTI on to a Scalloped Sentiment Label that I had die cut from white cardstock. I popped it up with foam tape and attached it to the card.

The two puffins were also popped up with foam tape and attached to the card.
