Out Of This World for Love to Craft Challenge #87 for 1st of July 2025

For challenge #87 for July/August 2025 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I made a card from the La-La Land Crafts Colour & Create Virtual Retreat in early February and we used stamps, dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts. 

Here is my card for this month:

For this card, everything was prepared for us so we just had to do some inking and organise the card! :) This was the bonus card so it included an already coloured image that we just needed to fussy cut. This is Irina's design and all the products used on this card are mostly already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:

• Stellar Friend Clear Stamp Set - I have the rubber stamp version from the October 2023 KOTM
• Moonscape Die - this was part of the October 2023 KOTM
• Stitched Nested Circles Die - we used half a circle
• sequins - included in the box
• Stitched Ribbons Die - for the sentiment

For the background, I used Distress Oxide ink in the following colours: fossilised amber, picked raspberry. wilted violet, salty ocean, peacock feathers, uncharted mariner. I used black soot on the moon, but was a little heavier on the inking then Irina! I also added Shake & Gilt - multicolour to the moon and FW Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic - White pearl to the background, as well as some white gel pen. Everything was put together following Irina's instructions.

Add Buttons for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #220 on the 5th of June, 2025

 

I’m running a little late this month as it has been crazy busy; we’ve had a long weekend and we also have had some bad weather, so my computer has been off. Anyway, for this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Add Buttons

This was a challenge for me as I realised that I don't really have any buttons to put on to cards! So I have substituted with die cut buttons, as well as shiny sequins! So, here is my card:

I have used stamps, dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts, however the stamp set and one of the dies are from one of the KOTMs that has not been released to the regular range yet. So the products are:

• Sew Happy Clear Stamp Set from the May 2024 KOTM
• Quilt Die including the buttons from the May 2024 KOTM
• Scalloped Square Die
• Get Inky Paper Pack - this paper pack is no longer available

I stamped the hedgehog images and the dress form using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to Xpress It Blending card, then coloured with the following Copics:

• Hedgehogs - E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, R20, R01, white gel pen
• Pin cushion - BG01, BG05, BG07
• Pins and needles - N1, N3, RV11, RV14
• Scissors - N1, N3, N5
• Thread - BG01, BG05, BG07
• Spool - E31, E33, E35
• Dress form - E50, E51, E53, N3, N5, N7, N9

I took inspiration from the awesome La-La Land Crafts DT and the wonderful Alyce from Kit and Clowder and her monthly classes. I fussy cut the hedgehogs and dress form. Here is a photo after fussy cutting:

I then die cut the Get Inky Paper using the two dies, including the buttons.

To put the card together, I adhered the two scalloped squares of paper on to a white slimline card from Envelope Solutions with the popped up dress form in between. I adhered parts of the quilt die, then popped up the hedgehogs.

The buttons were attached to the side of the card using Golden Sunset nuvo glitter drops, then the sequins were adhered with Art Glitter glue.

Balloon Ride from The Paper Shelter for Little Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #255 on the 1st of June, 2025

We were given Balloon Ride which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It Blending card and die cut with the new Slimline Bookplate Die from La-La Land Crafts, before colouring with the following Copics markers:

• skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
• hair - C3, BG11, BG13, BG15
• pink - RV11, RV14, RV17
• purple - V20, V22, V25, V28
• turquoise - BG11, BG13, BG15
• balloon - V01, V04, V06, V09, white gel pen, glossy accents
• background - B0000, B000, B00
• outline - BG15

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Here is a close up of the colouring, before and after I added the glossy accents to the balloon:

To finish the card, I adhered a piece of cloudy paper from Going Places Paper Pack from La-La Land Crafts on to a white card from Envelope Solutions. I popped up the coloured image with foam tape.

I die cut white cardstock with the Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die and then stamped two sentiments from Hold on Tight Clear Stamp Set - from the Winnie the Pooh Release earlier in the year also from La-La Land Crafts using Elderberry Memento ink. I adhered both with foam tape.

Mammoth Day for No Patterned Paper for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #219 on the 5th of May, 2025

 

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

No Patterned Paper

This was a difficult one for me as I have so much patterned paper and I want to try and use it! But I had a look online and then at some of my classes and found a card that had embossing and some inking. So, here is my card:

I made a card from the La-La Land Crafts Colour & Create Virtual Retreat in early February and we used stamps, dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts. For this card, everything was prepared for us and we just had to colour the images, fussy cut them and then organise the card! :) This is Irina's design and all the products used on this card are already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:

• Light My Fire Clear Stamp Set
• On The Wall Layering Stencil Set - embossed
• Cave Die
• Stitched Clouds Border Die
• Stitched Sun and Clouds Die
• Palm Trees Die - just the leaves - this is from the July 2022 KOTM
• Stitched Ribbon Die

The mammoth and a couple of the cavemen were stamped and we coloured with the following Copics and Prismacolour pencils: 

• Copics - E000, E00, E11, E13, E15, E71, E74, E77, R20, YR21, C1, C3, C5, YG21, YG23, YG25
• Prismacolour pencils - PC928 Blush Pink, PC935 Black, PC941 Light Umber, PC948 Sepia, PC1025 Periwinkle, PC1033 Mineral Orange, PC1034 Goldenrod, PC1054 50% Warm Grey

I also used white gel pen and Glossy Accents on the images. I inked Mowed Lawn, Fossilised Amber, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks on the cave insert for the background on the front before spritzing with water. Then I inked Mowed Lawn for the palm tree fronds.

I forgot to take a photo of all the images before fussy cutting, but here is a close-up of the mammoth during the colouring process:

I followed Irina's instructions from the class.

The sentiment was stamped using Onyx Black Versafine ink. Everything on the inside of the card was adhered with Art Glitter glue. The front is a mix of foam tape and Art Glitter glue. I also adhered a bunch of sequins that Irina included in the Virtual Class kit.

Cowbells Ring for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #62 for the 1st of May, 2025

 

For challenge #62 for May/June 2025 of the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I made a card from the La-La Land Virtual Christmas Cards Class using some of my products from La-La Land Crafts!

I also used white gel pen on the image.

I followed Irina's instructions from the class, but added White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops on to the snowflakes instead of pearls (I have tucked them away somewhere!) 

The sentiment was stamped using Onyx Black Versafine ink. Everything on the inside of the card was adhered with Art Glitter glue. The front is a mix of foam tape and Art Glitter glue.

Cows Swinging for Love to Craft Challenge #86 for 1st of May, 2025

 

For challenge #86 for May/June 2025 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I made a card from the La-La Land Crafts Colour & Create Virtual Retreat in early February and we used stamps, dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts. 

Here is my card for this month:


For this card, everything was prepared for us and we just had to colour the images and then organise the card! :) This is Martha's design and all the products used on this card are mostly already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:

• Cow's It Going Clear Stamp Set
• Countryside Paper Pack
• Wood Textures 1 Paper Pack
• Double Stitched Arches Die
• Three Clouds Die
• Film Strip Die, plus the "tape" included with the die - this is not released yet and is from the August 2024 KOTM
• Tree Branches Die
• Rounded Grass Patches Die

The three cows were stamped and we used the following Copics: 

• fur - E000, E00, E11, E13, E15, E17, E18, R21, white gel pen
• hooves - W1, W3, W5

Vintage photo and mowed lawn Distress Oxide ink were used for the grass patches/leaves and tree branches. Everything was put together following Martha's instructions.

I had a few problems with the foam tape behind the Countryside paper and had to pull it off the gold cardstock behind, causing a bit of a stretch and rip of the paper - so I have slightly moved the grass patches and clouds from what Martha suggested!

I totally forgot to take a photo of the cows after they were coloured.

This card is actually a swinging card! So there is a brad hidden behind the popped up Countryside paper at the top.
