Tag! You're It (use a tag on your project) for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #231 on the 5th of May 2026

Hi All!
We are recovering from the Adelaide Marathon Festival - it was a big day and lots of work before the race had even started.
Anyway, for this month's challenge at
Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Tag! You're It (use a tag on your project)

As I was so busy over the last few weeks, I found an image that had already been coloured and designed a tag using products from La-La Land CraftsSo, here is my tag:

I have used the following products that are already in the La-La Land Crafts Shop:

The hippo was already stamped on to X-Press It Blending card using London Fog Memento Ink. I then coloured him (in Aug2023) with the following Copics:
  • hippo - E40, E41, E43, E44, R30, BV20, BV23, BV29
  • jacket - BG45, BG57, BG49
  • hat - BG72, BG75, BG78
  • lantern - BG72, BG75, YR21, YR23
I added clear Wink of Stella to the light of the lantern and White Blizzard nuvo glitter drops to the end of the hat. I have then fussy cut him. There is a photo of him before fussy cutting in this blog post.

I have diecut the second largest of the House Base Die twice in black cardstock. One of them I finger painted in gold paint and then I adhered the two together.

I diecut Scalloped Tags Die in Kraft cardstock and then diecut Stitched Tags Die in a piece of the Christmas Eve Paper Pack. I had a piece of the Stitched Ribbon Die in white cardstock leftover from another project and have stamped the sentiment from Winter Hippos Clear Stamp Set in Elderberry Memento ink.

To make the tag, I adhered the stitched tag to the scalloped tag and then attached a piece of Baker's twine from my stash to the tag. I then popped up the tag with foam tape on to the gold/black house base. I popped up the hippo as well as the sentiment strip with foam tape.

Here is another photo of the finished tag:

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges:

November Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog #39 for the 1st of November 2021

For my November challenge with Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I chose to use Hippo Holidays Clear Stamp Set and coordinating dies which are designed by La-La Land Crafts but were part of Simon Says Stamp Stamptember CelebrationsThen I have also used some dies from my La-La Land Crafts stash.

Here is my card for this month:

This is the inside of the card:

I stamped the Hippos on to X-Press It Blending card with Black Tuxedo Memento ink and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • hippos - C00, C0, C1, C3, R20
  • red - R22, R24, R27, R39
  • berries - R24, R27, R59
  • green - YG03, YG17, YG67
  • gold - gold glitter pen
  • white glitter of hat - Twinkle Stickles
I also die cut some red and green cardstock using the second biggest postage stamp die from La-La Land Crafts, then I also cut using the smallest and second smallest die (I still have them joined together!)

Once I finished colouring, I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out and then adhered them to the red and green postage stamps and then adhered everything to a white slimline card from Envelope Solutions

For the inside, I stamped one of the sentiments with Nautical Blue Memento ink.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and I also used some inspiration from the cards of the La-La Land Crafts Design Team on Facebook.

Here are some close up shots of the hippos:
