The Incantation by The Paper Shelter for Little Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #275 on the 5th of April 2026

Hi All!

I can't believe that we are already in April, that it is Easter Weekend and Daylight Savings has finished! It means that we are now in Autumn and Winter is coming.....

Anyway, welcome to my post about my card for challenge #275, the 5th of April 2026 challenge for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog.

We were given The Incantation, which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It Blending card and coloured with the following Copics markers:

• skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
• hair - B12, B14, B16, B18
• pink - R81, R83, R85
• dress - BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18
• wings - BG70, BG72, BG75

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Here is a close up of the colouring:

I die cut the image with the largest of the Scalloped Squares Die from La-La Land Crafts, I outlined the scallops with BG75 and then popped the coloured image on to a square Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.

Beautiful Butterflies for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #230 on the 5th of April 2026

 

Hi All!

It has been an extremely busy start to the year! Thankfully it is Easter Holidays and we can relax a bit before I am heading to Singapore for some training next weekend!
Anyway, for this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Beautiful Butterflies

I thought of the beautiful Bloom Album that Martha Tucker designed using products from La-La Land Crafts, so I have used some of the ideas - I really need to actually make that album!!

So, here is my card:

I have used the following products that are already in the La-La Land Crafts Shop:

• Butterfly Die
• Notebook Pages Die
• Bloom Vase Die - this is on sale!
• Side Lily Die - so is this!

I have diecut the butterfly from both gold cardstock and a blue cardstock, then the vase and "bloom" from the same blue cardstock. I diecut the lily from gold cardstock, then the largest of the notebook pages from gold cardstock and white cardstock.

I started putting it all together on my new Make Art Stay-tion that I won at the last La-La Land Crafts Colour & Create Virtual Retreat 2026!

Then I also laid the pieces out on a white slimline card from Envelope Solutions:

I was originally also going to use the Left Butterfly that you can see, but decided that one butterfly was enough!

So, to make the card, I glued "bloom" to the bottom of the card, then the gold Notebook page and the white one on top. Then I glued the vase, tucked the lily flower in the opening of the vase, glued the stem, leaves and bud of the lily. I just adhered the centre of the butterfly wings in blue to the gold and glued the gold body to the blue body, then glued the butterfly to the card.
