Anything Christmas Goes - Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 8th of December, 2017

This is the last challenge at Winter Wonderland for 2017 and we are hosted by the lovely Helen.
The theme that she has chosen is:
"Anything Christmas Goes"

a nice and easy challenge for this time of year!

Please remember as the theme says it is Christmas Projects only!

So here is my card:

Here is a close up of the colouring:

I have used Jingle Penguins from our wonderful sponsor: Pink Gem Designs.

Pink Gem Designs is based in Stourport on Severn, Worcestershire UK.
We began trading in Nov. 2008 to design cute and whimsical craft stamps in clear polymer. As digi products became more popular Pink Gem Designs also started to produce digital stamps/Card Topper Kits and other digital products such as downloadable papers, clip art etc.

I digitally printed Jingle Penguins stamp on X-Press It paper, cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo and then coloured it with the following Copics markers:
  • black - C3, C5, C7
  • white - 0, C00, C0, C1
  • green - YG03, YG07, YG09, clear Wink of Stella
  • red - R22, R27, R29, clear Wink of Stella
  • orange feet - YR04, YR09
  • orange beak - YR09
  • gold bells - Y26, Y28, gold Wink of Stella, clear Wink of Stella
  • string holding bells - brown Wink of Stella
  • background - B0000, B000, B00
I have then stamped the sentiment "Christmas Cheer and a very Happy New Year" from Heaven & Nature Sing by the lovely Marcella from Power Poppy using my MISTI and Cottage Ivy Memento ink on to a square white card from Envelope Solutions.
I have adhered three strips of washi tape from Manzawa (I think I bought it from Envelope Solutions!) on to the card and then used double sided tape to adhere the coloured Jingle Penguins image to the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
TGIF Challenges #TGIFC137 - It's a SQUARE Sketch Challenge
Colour Crazy Challenge Wk49 - Anything Goes Craft Challenge

Traditional Christmas Colours - Red and Green - Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 24th of November, 2017

I'm late again, as I was travelling for work and then we have had thunder and lightning storms which has meant that I can't use my computer. :(

However, this fortnight we are hosted by Helen, who has decided that the theme will be......

Traditional Christmas Colours - Red and Green

Please remember that it is Christmas Projects only.
So here is my card:

Here is a close up of the colouring:

I have used the Snowman and Bird digital stamp from our wonderful sponsor Sasayaki Glitter.

They are offering the winner one digi image of their choice.
and their challenge blog is here - http://sasayakiglitter.blogspot.co.uk/
They also have a Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1725571720999725

I digitally printed this beautiful snowman image using my Silhouette Cameo on to X-Press It paper and then had my Silhouette cut out the image (so much easier than fussy cutting!)

I have then coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • snowman - 0, C1, C3, YR09, 100 (button)
  • snowman's arms - E74, E77, E79
  • snowman's scarf - YG03, G05, G07, R27
  • snowman's heart - R24, R27, R29, Wink of Stella
  • snowman's hat - R24, R27, R29
  • bird - Y11, Y15, YR09, RV19 (heart), Wink of Stella
  • flower - V25, Y15, Wink of Stella
  • snow - 0, B00, Wink of Stella, white gel pen
  • background - 0, B00, B000
I have then used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink with one of those sponges to add some colour to the front of the card with some more white gel pen snowflakes.

I have then made a shaker card with a piece of transparency that I found on my shelves! Along with two layers of some thick double sided foam tape and a piece of green card stock that I have used a square die from KaiserCraft to cut my window for the shaker. Added some glitter, silver stars, pale blue and white seed beads and some die cut scraps to complete the shaker.

As you can see the foam tape (well I can anyway!) I have coloured it with YG97 Copic pen and then as I made a bit of an oopps on the green cardstock, I ran a line of it around the edge.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Colour Crazy Challenge Wk47 - Anything Goes Craft Challenge
Crafty Sentiments Design - Baby - it's cold outside....
Christmas Card Challenges #26 - Anything Christmas Goes
Christmas at Sweet Stampin' November - Anything Christmas Goes

Fun Folds - Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 27th of October, 2017

I'm trying to get my blog post in on time this fortnight, especially as I missed last fortnight as we were away on holidays and I couldn't get my act together!

Anyway, this fortnight, we are hosted by Cindy, who has chosen the theme:
FUN FOLDS.

I wasn't really sure on the fun folds theme, but then I did a google search and found that it was a stepper card or a shutter step card to name a few! I have had some of these cards for ages and never used them! So I settled on a Side Step card as it was a lovely clean white.

Here is a close up of the colouring:

Our wonderful sponsor is:
SheepSki Designs

You can find SheepSki Designs at their

Living in Leeds, Yorkshire in the UK, working full time as a Management Accountant, currently working on 2 design teams and an obsessive crafter and creator of cards. I have no actual style as yet but do love the unusual and quirky. I may be known for producing cards in soft pastel colours. I love anything arty. I've always drawn stuff, for as long as I can remember. In my younger days I sold a few watercolour paintings. I recently found mixed media which is a joy and love creating canvases with flowers. I had a battle with digital drawing for about a year and finally found some software I could gel with. January 2016 a challenge team I worked on was short of a designer's images to create with so I drew some. I opened my shop a month later so I could sponsor challenges and give something back to the crafting world, to the lovely ladies who have supported me on my journey. I've a Facebook group SheepSki Designs where I hold challenges, some for fun to win digis as well as my monthly card challenge. I've a SheepSki Designs challenge blog as well. Things are growing slowly (thankfully) so I still manage to spend at least a little time with my hubby.
Welcome to my world Andrea xx

To make my card, I digitally printed the digi Snow Happy from SheepSki Designs on X-Press It paper. I then had my Silhouette Cameo fussy cut the image (I think he badly needs a new blade and of course I always need a new mat!)
I have coloured the snow angel snowman with the following Copics:
  • red - R32, R35, R37
  • green - YG06, G17, G29
  • orange nose - YR00, YR09
  • arms - E74
  • snow and shadows - C00, C0, C1, C2, colourless blender, clear Wink of Stella
  • coal eyes and buttons - black Wink of Stella
  • outline - BV0000

The Side Step Card is from www.craftzone.com.au.
I have used two papers from a really old Christmas Stack from Die Cuts With A View, a glittered cardstock and some washi tape on the panels (both from my stash).
The image was then adhered on top with dimensional squares.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #WWC142 - All about Christmas
Weekly Christmas Card Challenge #24 - anything Christmas
Christmas at Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog - Anything Christmas Goes

But for this fortnight's challenge we are hosted by Cindy, who chose the theme:
DOTS AND/OR STRIPES!

Please remember that it is Christmas Projects only.

So I am following on from a previous post and making easy tags!

This time I have used a stamp from our sponsor - Crafty Sentiments Designs - called the Joy of Christmas.

  • hat - C3, C5, C7, C10, black Wink of Stella marker, clear Wink of Stella marker
  • snowman - colourless blender, C00, C0, C1
  • carrot nose - YR09
  • cheeks - R20
  • mouth - RV17

We have Crafty Sentiments Designs as our sponsor for this challenge.

I love to shop at:

Use Ribbon, Twine or Lace - Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 4th of August, 2017

Can you believe that it is already August! This year, as usual has flown by - lucky I have been keeping up with my Christmas Cards, although most of the time I find I do not want to give them away, so I have a mad dash to do something else!

Anyway, on to this fortnight's challenge at Winter Wonderland blog.
This time we are hosted by the lovely Christine, who would like us to "use ribbon, twine or lace" on our Christmas projects.

So hopefully this project I will actually give away at the end of the year, as it is so easy to make! Also, I can keep them as tags, or I can add the tags to a card for a more complete look, similar to these two cards here and here.

So here are two tags from a series of my Christmas Tags using Power Poppy stamps:

Here is a close up of the Snowman tag:

Here is a close of the Tree in a Cup tag:

The Snowman from Let's Chill has been digitally printed on watercolour paper, cut out with my Silhouette Cameo and then coloured with Distress Markers, but I have no idea which colours! (I have a book that I write my colour combinations, but I don't always keep it up-to-date - I'll have to do better!!)

I have stamped the Tree in a Cup from Cozy Cupfuls Stamp Set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on to X-Press It card, fussy cut it and then coloured it with the following Copic Markers:
  • greens - YG00, YG61, YG63, YG67
  • reds - R22, R24, R27, R29
  • browns - E40, E41, E43, E44
  • greys - W0, W1, W3
  • gold - gold Spica pen
  • glitter - clear Wink of Stella

Finally I have adhered the coloured images to red tags from my stash (bought long ago!) using foam squares and rounds.

The spotted evergreen ribbon tied in a bow is from Anita's Everyday Ribbons, also from my stash.

I am going to do some more tags and so will add another post!

This fortnight, we are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons.

The winner will receive a 10 pound gift voucher to spend instore.

"Crafty Ribbons is a ribbon emporium; we are passionate about ribbons and want to share our fantastic ribbons with others. Our range of Christmas ribbons is second to none. Need a little bit of ribbon inspiration? Have a look at our projects on our blog, or visit our Inspiration blog, or maybe join in with our Ribbon Challenge on Facebook. Go on, have a look... It's worth it!"

I would like to enter both tags into the following challenges:

Christmas Penguins - Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 7th of July, 2017

For the next two weeks at Winter Wonderland, we are hosted by ME!!
I have chosen the theme of "Christmas Penguins"

So we want to see anything that features a penguin or two that would fit right into Christmas!

Please remember that it is Christmas Projects only.

So here is my card:

I have used three of the Kitty Bee Designs stamps:

I joined them together in my Silhouette Cameo software (yes it is working now after I upgraded the software!) then I used my Silhouette Cameo to fussy cut the image after I had printed it on X-Press It card stock.

I have then coloured the image with the following Copics Markers:
  • black - C5, C7, C9
  • white - C00, C0
  • red - R32, R35, R37
  • yellow - Y17, YR16
  • white of Santa hat - C00, clear Wink of Stella
  • gold buckle - Y28, clear Wink of Stella

  • bell - Y28, clear Wink of Stella
  • holly - YG13, YG17, R32, R35, R37, white gel pen
  • background - BG000, BG01

I have adhered the coloured image to a white card from Envelope Solutions.
Then finished with a piece of Washi tape from manzawa across the top for my sentiment.

We are sponsored this fortnight by Kitty Bee Designs, who are offering one non-coloured digi to the lucky winner.

"Aloha! My name is Ruth, and I'm the owner/illustrator of Kitty Bee Designs, out of beautiful Hawaii. After a long day of staring at numbers, doodling at night was my way of relaxing. I have always been a "card maker at heart" and a "paper hoarder" but could never find that "perfect" rubber stamp design. Kitty Bee Designs was created to fill the need for simple and whimsical stamp designs. These stamps were specifically made to bring a smile to the creator and receiver of these cute stamp designs. I hope you enjoy them as much as we (the lovely design team) do here at Kitty Bee Designs.

We offer all of our images in digital format and some even make it to limited-run clear stamps!! You can find our images in our Etsy Store and wonderful inspiration + super fun challenges on our blog!! Come swing by and say hello!!!"

For the next two weeks at Winter Wonderland, we are hosted by Cindy, who has chosen the theme: ADD SNOWFLAKES.

I then used a decorative nesting frame die from KaiserCraft to cut out the image as my Silhouette Cameo is playing up :(
I have then embossed a piece of glitter core essentials cardstock using an embossing folder called Winter Chill, distributed by ultimate crafts (a freebie from a magazine).
I also die cut the snowflake flurry from November 2016 Club La-La Land Crafts from glitter core essentials cardstock.

The embossed piece was adhered to a white card from Envelope Solutions, then I adhered the coloured piece and the snowflake flurry.

As I mentioned, our sponsor for this challenge is Little Claire Designs, who are giving the winner 3 digital stamps of their choice.

Use Your Favourite Christmas Colour Combination - Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 12th of May 2017

For the next two weeks at Winter Wonderland, we are hosted by Christine, who has chosen the theme: USE YOUR FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS COLOUR COMBINATION.

So, this is my card:
No automatic alt text available.

I have used an image called Penguin Carols from our sponsor Pink Gem Designs.

Janet, the owner of Pink Gem Designs is offering the winner of the challenge 2 single digi images or 2 card topper kits, or one of each.

Pink Gem Designs is based in Stourport and began trading in November 2008 designing cute and whimsical craft stamps in clear polymer. As digi products became more popular Pink Gem Designs also started to product digital stamps, card topper kits and other digital products such as downloadable papers, clip art etc.

I have printed Penguin Carols on to X-Press It paper, fussy cut using my Silhouette Cameo and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • black of penguins - C5, C7, C9
  • white of penguins - C0, colourless blender
  • cheeks of penguins - R20
  • nose and feet of penguins - YR12, YR07
  • reds of hats - R32, R35, R37
  • green of hats - G02, G05, G17, Wink of Stella
  • white of hats - Wink of Stella

  • flame - Y06
  • light - Y08
  • lamp - E81, E84, E87
  • hook - C3
  • background - BG0000, BG01
I have then followed the latest sketch from CAS(E) this sketch!:

I turned the sketch around and then adhered a piece of gold music paper from Christmas Carol by KaiserCraft using double-sided tape. The coloured image was adhered on top and then the sentiment "wintertime wishes" from Cozy Cupfuls by Power Poppy was stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento ink using my MISTI.

Cute Christmas - Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 14th of April, 2017

For the next two weeks at Winter Wonderland, we are hosted by Carol, who has chosen the theme: CUTE CHRISTMAS.

This means that you should make a Christmas project with a cute animal or critter!

We are sponsored these next two weeks by Miss Daisy Stamps, who are giving the winner 4 images, one from each of the four artists that reside at Miss Daisy Stamps!

Jennifer Nilsson Art ♥ Mari Digis ♥ Miss Daisy's Collection ♥ We Are 3© Digital Shop

Join us at Miss Daisy Stamps Create & Share Facebook Group to meet the artists, share fun inspiration, receive freebies and special deals. See you there!

So on to my card!

I chose "Gift of Love Snowman" by Jennifer Nilsson Art for my image.  I digitally printed him on X-Press It paper and then coloured him with the following Copics markers:
  • red: R32, R35, R37
  • green: YG11, YG06, YG09
  • carrot nose: YR09
  • body of snowman: B000, B00
  • bird: BV01, BV13, BV17
  • background: BG0000, BG000, BG01
Then, unfortunately my Silhouette Cameo was not behaving and I had to fussy cut the snowman and bird! :(

I have then made a shaker card using stamps and dies from Ready, Set, SnowReady, Set, Snow - Lawn Cuts and Ready, Set, Snow Shaker Add-On all from Lawn Fawn. It is the first time that I have used this set and I have had it for a while!

I stamped the snowglobe using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to some white card stock from my stash. I die cut the snowglobe and a base snowglobe from the same white card stock.
I stamped Merry Christmas from Ready, Set, Snow using Cottage Ivy Memento ink, then I coloured the base of the snowglobe with E55, E57 and E59 Copics markers.
The shaker component was made using my Fuse tool and Waterfall Photo Sleeves both from We R memory keepers. I added foil stars, glitter and seed beads from my stash to the shaker. Foam tape was used to adhere the shaker to the two parts of the snowglobe.

I adhered the snowman to the front of the shaker using double-sided tape.
I have then adhered the shaker to a small square card from Envelope Solutions.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Weekly Christmas Card Challenge #10 - anything goes as long as its Christmas
Christmas with the Cuties #4 - red and green
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge Extra - April - anything goes as long as its Christmas
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge #328 - snowman

For A Child - Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 17th of March, 2017

For the next two weeks at Winter Wonderland, we are hosted by ME!
I have chosen the theme of "For A Child"
So we want to see anything that a child will love for Christmas.

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only.
We are sponsored this week by "Sasayaki Glitter" who are offering 1 digi stamp to the winner.

Sasayaki Glitter are actually based here in Melbourne, Australia! You can find them on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com.au/shop/SasayakiGlitter and they have a challenge blog and Facebook group.
They have many different images for you to colour and add to your projects: cute elephants, Australian animals, Easter chicks and kitties just to name a few!
We had two images to play with for this challenge:
Winter Kiddles - a cute koala sitting in the snow
or the one I chose
Christmas Bunny Decorating - a cute bear with some Christmas lights

So here is my card:

I digitally stamped Christmas Bunny Decorating on to X-Press It card and then had my Silhouette Cameo fussy cut around the image.

I have used the following Copics pens to colour the bunny:
  • bunny's fur - E41, E43, E44, E47, RV63 (ears)
  • hat and boots - R32, R35, R37
  • christmas lights from left to right - BG53 & BG57, RV02 & RV66, B60 & B69, V01 & V28, YR02 & YR09, YG13 & YG17
  • sparkle on hat and lights - Wink of Stella
  • background - B000, B02
I have then followed the sketch from this month's Christmas Card Throwdown:

I have adhered Christmas Bunny Decorating on to a white card from Envelope Solutions and then attached 3 different Washi tape as the stripes of colour from Manzawa. The sentiment "merry christmas" is from Toboggan Together by Lawn Fawn and is stamped in Cottage Ivy Memento ink.

I would also like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra for March - anything goes as long as it's Christmas
Weekly Christmas Card Challenge #8 - anything goes as long as it's Christmas*

*this challenge has an optional challenge that I may make another card and enter into these challenges again.
