Crazy Paw: Monkey from Mirtillamente Craft Shop for Colour Crazy Challenge on the 11th of March, 2022

At Colour Crazy Challenge for the
11th of March, 2022, we are sponsored by Mirtillamente Craft Shop.

Here is my card: I have taken a few photos outside in the late afternoon:

As I mentioned, the sponsor for this challenge is Mirtillamente Craft Shop. It is the first time that I have used an image from Evelin aka Mirtilla Libera Johnson. Her online store is a mix of steampunk, vintage and gothic.

I have digitally printed the image Crazy Paw: Monkey on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • monkey - E30, E31, E33, R20, C5, C7, C9
  • banana - YR00, YR20, YG11, Y02, Y08
  • branches - E25, E27
  • leaves - G24, G05
  • background sky - RV42, Y15, Y35, YR00
  • outline - E27
I then die cut the image using a square die from KaiserCraft, which is no longer available. I adhered the coloured and die cut image to a square Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.

I then die cut some grass patches from green cardstock using Grass Patches die from La-La Land Crafts. I adhered those underneath the image and then stamped one of the sentiments from the July 2020 Club La-La Land Crafts kit using Rich Cocoa Memento ink and my MISTI.

As usual, I have drawn some inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her awesomMonthly Classes and Bonus Classes.
The inspiration for the sky came from Cristena who used to be part of the La-La Land Crafts DT.

Here is a close-up of the colouring before die cutting and after:

I had coloured the rhinestones, but forgot to add them before I posted the photo below on the Little Patch of Crafty Friends website!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Julia McNeill Crafts, it is the first time that I have used her stamps, but I am seeing them more ofter now:

Purple and Green for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #181 on the 5th of March, 2022

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

PURPLE AND GREEN

Every time I think of purple, I think of lavender and it is one of my favourite flowers, so I have used one of the clear stamps from a set called Lavender by the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy. The stamp I used is available as a digital stamp and is called Breathe in Life.

So here is the front of my card photographed outside in the sun in front of (you guessed it) one of my lavender bushes:

I also took a photo inside as the lighting is different:

Here is a photo of the inside of the card, taken outside:

I think I have stamped Breathe in Life on to X-Press It Blending card using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (but it could have been digitally printed - I found the image in my stash to be coloured!) then I have coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • can - N0, N1, N3, N5
  • lavender - V01, V04, V09, B63, B66, B69, V12, V15, V17
  • greenery - G14, G24, YG21
  • shadow - BV20, BV23, BV25

I have fussy cut the coloured image and adhered on the front of a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.
Also from the same stamp set, I stamped the sentiment directly on to the card using Elderberry Memento ink.

Then on the inside of the card, I have used the lavender sprigs from the same stamp set and Elderberry and Bamboo Leaves Memento ink.

For the rhinestones (from KaiserCraft) I have coloured them with V09 and G14 Copics markers and then adhered to the card using Art Glitter glue.

Here is a photo of the lavender in the can and the lavender sprigs on the inside close up:

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Let's Craft and Create Challenges are monthly and go live on the 5th of every month and you have until the end of the month to add your creations which can be anything goes plus an optional theme.

There is inspiration from the rest of the Let's Craft and Create DT over on the Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, so please pop over to everyone's blog by clicking on their name. We always appreciate a comment or two! :) You can also find out what other challenges are out there, which could give you some ideas for your card stash.

I then fussy cut the image and adhered it on to a white square card from Envelope Solutions.

I have stamped the sentiment from Merry Hippos by the wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts using my MISTI and Nautical Blue Memento ink.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Here are some close-ups of the colouring:

February 2022 Card Chain Challenge Reveal

I signed up again for the Card Chain Challenge! Essentially you sign up and make a card that you send to the person before you in the sign up and the person that signed up after you, sends you a card!

For February I made a card to send to Nat in Canada - this is what I sent her:

Here are the options that we had to make the card:

Theme Options: Hearts / Mushrooms / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Paint / Shaped Card

I chose the mushrooms, the colours (sort of) and sort of the sketch!

I have used Ferns and Fungi stamp from the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy, along with one of the sentiments. This beautiful stamp and sentiment are actually part of a set of clear stamps called Woodland Carpet that is now not available. I die cut the image using one of the rectangles from Scalloped Rectangles Die set from La-La Land Crafts. Then I have used a scalloped circle from KaiserCraft decorative dies - nesting scallop circles for the sentiment. The background paper is from the Awakening Paper Pack also by La-La Land Crafts.
I have stamped Ferns and Fungi stamp on to X-Press It Blending card using Rich Cocoa Memento ink and then coloured with the following Copics:
  • mushrooms - R24, R46, R59, C1, C3, C5, E70, E71, E74, E77, E79, white gel pen
  • violets - B60, B63, B66
  • butterfly - B63, B66, R24, YR23, C5
  • ferns - YG03, YG21, BG72
  • geraniums - YG03, YG21, BG72, BG75
  • grass - YG03, YG17
  • snail - YR23, E71, E74
  • soil - E70, E71, YG23, YG21
  • sky - BG0000, BG000, B00, BG01
  • outline - B66
I found inspiration from Nancy Sheads, who is part of the Power Poppy DT and as usual, from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

I used Elderberry Memento ink to stamp the sentiment and then adhered everything to a white square card from Envelope Solutions.

Here are also photos of the card taken outside and inside:

Here are some close ups of the colouring of the image:

As I was taking the photos outside, William decided that he wanted to get in the photo!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

I hope that Nat likes the card, although with the delays in postage at the moment, it may have not arrived yet!
