Colour Crazy Challenge for the 29th of July, 2022

At
Colour Crazy Challenge for the
29th of July, 2022, we do not have a sponsor, so I chose something that I have been working on as part of the Virtual La-La Land Crafts Colouring and Cardmaking Workshop in April.

Here is my card:

I have stamped the images from Turtley Awesome Clear Stamp Set from La-La Land Crafts on to paper that is suitable for pencils and then coloured them with PrismaColour pencils according to Irina's instructions from the workshop.

I stamped the sentiment from Turtley Awesome Clear Stamp Set in Nautical Blue Memento ink using my MISTI.

Here are some close-ups of the colouring:

Here are some other photos of the card from different angles, including the inside:

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
Mix It Up Challenge #60 - Anything Goes plus the Option of Clean and Simple
Shopping Our Stash SOS476 - She Sells Seashells - I have turtles, fish and an ocean theme!

Anyway, go and check out the rest of the Design Team at Colour Crazy Challenge.

Fun in the Sun - Let's Craft and Create for July 2022

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

Fun in the Sun

I immediately thought of Reading on the Beach Marci and the little piggy in the deck chair from the June 2020 Club La-La Land Crafts kit. Plus a few other dies from La-La Land Crafts that I have been collecting!

So here is my card:

Here is a photo taken from the top so you can see the dimension:

Marci and the pig were stamped on X-Press It Blending card with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, 100, white gel pen
  • lips - RV17, RV19
  • bikini - BG32, BG15, BG57, white gel pen, green glitter pen
  • hair - E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
  • book - YR31, N0, N1, C00, orange glitter pen
  • pig - R000, R00, R11, C1, C3, R30
  • bathers - R24, R46, R89
  • chair - YG11, YG25, C1, C3
  • drink - R46, B00, Y15, YG03
  • beach (under chair) - E31, E33, E30
I stamped the beach towel from the June 2020 Club La-La Land Crafts kit on to one of the papers from Summer Vibes Paper Pack from La-La Land Crafts, then I fussy cut around the border.

I then die cut from white card stock the Seaside die from La-La Land Crafts which I have coloured with twisted citron, tumbled glass and salty ocean Distress Oxide inks.

Here is Marci on her towel and the seaside die before it is coloured:

Here is the seaside die coloured:

I then die cut yellow card stock with the new Sun Smiles die from La-La Land Crafts and die cut white card stock with the Three Clouds die set also from La-La Land Crafts.
On one of the clouds, I stamped the sentiment "Fun in the Sun" from the June 2015 Club La-La Land Crafts kit in Nautical Blue Memento ink.

Here is a close up of Marci before she was fussy cut:

I adhered the coloured seaside pieces on to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions using double-sided tape. I glued the sun and clouds on to the sky, then using double-sided tape, adhered the beach towel. Using foam tape, I adhered the pig and Marci on to the front.

Here is another photo of the finished card:

As usual I found inspiration from the La-La Land Crafts DT, who showcased some awesome projects on the La-La Land Crafts blog and as usual, from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Making Memories by Joy Clair Designs for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #185 on the 3rd of July, 2022

Hi All!
Welcome to my post about my card for challenge #185, the 3rd of July 2022 challenge for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. I'm writing this on Saturday night and we are just back from my daughter's dance concert, although we had to wait nearly two hours before we saw her - she was performing in the last dance and the finale!

Anyway, here is my completed card:

Here is a angled view so you can see the dimension:

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

I chose to print two of the bears from Making Memories as well as one of the sentiments. I have digitally printed the images on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • bears - C00, C0, C1, C3, R20
  • turquoise/teal - BG11, BG13, B15, BG18
  • blue - B93, B95, B97, B99
  • antlers - E70, E71, E74
  • outline of sentiment - BG15
I have fussy cut out the coloured images and then was looking around at incomplete projects and found a shadow box card that I was going to use for Christmas last year - I have a variation of it here.

Just looking back through my photos and there is not any of this process! Surprising for me!
Anyway, I think I have inked a square of white card stock with Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink, then stamped the square Winter Whimsy Background stamp by La-La Land Crafts with Versamark ink before sprinkling with some glittery white embossing powder from my stash and heat embossing!
I created the shadow box card using the same technique as in the post here, but used white textured card stock for the card and silver paper for the inside.

The sentiment was outlined in black glitter pen, then die cut with one of the flags from Long Flags die set by La-La Land Crafts. The blue snowflake paper on the inside is from the Blue Christmas Paper Pack by La-La Land Crafts.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Here is a photo of the inside:

Here are some photos of the layout before adhering:

June 2022 Card Chain Challenge Reveal

I signed up again for the Card Chain Challenge! Essentially you sign up and make a card that you send to the person before you in the sign up and the person that signed up after you, sends you a card!

For June, I made a card to send to Robyn in Queensland, Australia - this is wh
at I sent her:

Here are the options that we had to make the card:

Theme Options: Fluffy / Funny / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Pipe Cleaners / Pop-Up

I originally chose the Friendship theme and then Pop-Up! I was going to finally use my twist pop-up die from La-La Land Crafts - but I seem to have misplaced it somewhere in my house...... so annoying!! I have looked everywhere! Hopefully now that I am posting about it, it will pop up! Pardon the pun, but you just have to laugh!

Anyway, it took me a few ideas to reorganise my card - I had already coloured Marci and the squirrels, so then I looked at the sketch and realised I had some scraps of paper that I could cut to use as detailed in the sketch. I had already coloured Marci with teal and I have a fluffy squirrel!

Here is a photo from a different angle so you can see the dimension:

Here are some photos of the inside of the card:

Here are some photos of the outside of the card before putting it all together:

Here is a photo of the paper strips and Marci laid out before gluing everything down:

I have stamped Warm Thoughts Marci and the squirrels from the November 2021 Club La-La Land Crafts kit and then coloured them with the following Copics:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, white gel pen
  • lips - RV55, RV66, clear Wink of Stella
  • hair - E13, E15, E17, E19
  • pink - RV10, RV63, RV55, RV66
  • teal - BG10, BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18
  • top of hat - Twinkle Stickles
  • tights - C00, C0, C1, white gel pen
  • boots - C3, C5, C7
  • cup - C00, C0, C1, C3, BG11, BG13, BG15
  • red squirrel - I can't remember - I am thinking E90s though? R20, white gel pen
  • brown squirrel - E70, E71, E74, E77, E79, R20
Here is a close up of the colouring of Warm Thoughts Marci before I fussy cut her:

and the squirrels:

I didn't end up needing the brown squirrel - so I'll save him for another project.

To finish the front of the card, I have die cut white card stock from the second biggest postage stamp die from La-La Land Crafts. Then stamped a sentiment from July 2019 Club La-La Land Crafts kit in Nautical Blue Memento ink and then I edged the postage stamp in BG18.

I had some scraps of Celebrate Paper Pack from La-La Land Crafts that I have cut and then edged with my BG18 Copic marker. I adhered them to the white card from Envelope Solutions using double-sided tape. Then I adhered Marci and the sentiment with foam tape to give a bit of dimension.

I had already coloured the squirrel and I wanted to use him, so I added him to the inside of the card. Then from white card stock, I die cut the coffee pot from July 2019 Club La-La Land Crafts kit in white card stock, then coloured with the teal and pink based Copics markers as above. Then I die cut the second smallest of the long flags die set from La-La Land Crafts in white card stock and stamped the sentiment from Warm Thoughts Marci in Nautical Blue Memento ink. I outlined the flag in RV66. I adhered the coffee pot, squirrel and sentiment flag to the inside of the card with double-sided tape.

As usual I found inspiration from La-La Land Crafts DT, who showcased some awesome projects on the La-La Land Crafts blog and as usual, from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Crafting Happiness Challenge #125 - June Anything Goes

I hope that Robyn likes the card, I was a little late posting it as I was totally thrown by not finding my pop-up twist die! :)

Unwrap the Magic Hippo Card for Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog #45 for July/August 2022

I am now also back on the Design Team of Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog. Again the challenges are longer than before. So for this challenge #45 for Jul/Aug 2022 I chose to use an image that I have coloured previously by La-La Land CraftsThen I have also used some dies and a sentiment from my new La-La Land Crafts stash as well as a design from the La-La Land Crafts Card Making Workshop.

Here is my card for this month:

Here is another photo of the card from the front:

Here is a photo of the inside:

I have stamped one of the hippos from Merry Hippos Clear Stamp Set from the wonderful wonderful Irina at La-La Land Crafts on to X-Press It Blending card using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • hippo - E40, E41, E43, E44, R30
  • red - R22, R24, R49, R29, R89
  • green - G02, G05, G09
  • nails - C1, C3, C5
I have also used Twinkle Stickles on the end of the hat.

The layout of the card is the same as the one that I posted in June: Father's Day Hippo Card, but I have used different paper and dies.
For the front topper:

I have die cut white card stock from Rounded Stitched Rectangles for the base, then die cut the Layered Christmas Tree die from green card stock and the star from gold card stock. I adhered everything on the card and stamped the sentiment from Merry Hippos Clear Stamp Set with Vintage Sepia Versafine ink and realised I needed something else in that area - so I die cut the Star Wreath from gold card stock and white card stock before glueing them together, then cut it into two, so there were two arcs!

For the card, I have used acetate, Kraft card stock and green card stock from my stash. The paper is from the Merry & Bright Paper Pack by La-La Land Crafts:

On the inside, I have stamped again with the Vintage Sepia Versafine ink a sentiment from Hippo Holidays Clear Stamp Set and coordinating dies which are designed by La-La Land Crafts but were part of Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Celebrations

I coloured all three hippos from Merry Hippos Clear Stamp Set, so here is a close-up of the three hippos:

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and I also used some inspiration from the cards of the La-La Land Crafts Design Team on Facebook.

So I am now back on the Design Team of Love to Craft Challenge Blog. It is a little different from before - the challenges go longer - 6 weeks. So for this challenge #69 for July/Aug 2022 I chose to finish some colouring from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Here is my colouring for this month:

This Kit and Clowder colouring class is called Jar of Beauty from May 2022 and uses an awesome image from Power Poppy called Gifts from the Sea
Once I finished colouring, I trimmed the image.

As I coloured I took some progression shots:

Here is a photo with the image lying down:
