Elephant Love from Bugaboo Stamps for the Colour Crazy Challenge for the 14th of February, 2020

At Colour Crazy Challenge for the 14th of February, we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and I chose Elephant Love.

Here is my card:

As I mentioned, the sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps.

Everything that you ever wanted to know about Bugaboo Stamps - a short essay!

As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of paper-crafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was seven years ago.

Today, Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful, all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more, to create your paper projects.

Jodie works hard to provide new releases and freebies every week!

I have digitally printed Elephant Love on to X-Press It Blending card and then cut using my paper cutter.
I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • boy elephant - R30, C00, C0, C1, C3, C5
  • girl elephant - R30, C00, C0, C1, C3, C5, RV63, RV66, BV11, BV13, BV17, R37, Wink of Stella
  • heart - R35, R37, R39, Wink of Stella
  • flowers - YR12, YR14, YR16, YR24, E35, Wink of Stella
  • leaves - YG00, YG63, YG67, Wink of Stella
  • grass - YG93, YG95, YG97
  • sky - BG000, B000, B00
  • outline - R39
I am pretty sure I have drawn some inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

I have adhered the coloured image to a white card from Envelope Solutions and stamped a heart and two of the sentiments from Good Thinking: Love Notes from the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy in Love Letter Memento ink. Finally I added a wooden butterfly from my stash in the bottom corner with some clear sparkling Stickles.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

And here is a photo of William - one of our two cats that seems to always be around when I am taking photos of cards. Although that being said Sox, our other cat came up for a smudge as I was taking these photos tonight, but I was not fast enough to take a photo!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crafty Creations Challenges #406 - February Anything Goes
Brown Sugar Challenge #298 - Anything Goes in February
2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge #35 - February Anything Goes as long as there is a critter or two!

Not Just Cards Challenge for February 2020

Not Just Cards is having a new challenge this month. The theme for the February 2020 Challenge is "ANYTHING GOES".
To join in the fun, click on the following link:

I was actually able to complete two colourings this month, but I am saving one for later in the month.....so come back and check it out.

Anyway, the one I am showing today is Pretty Posies:

This image and colouring are part of the January 2020 Pretty Posies Monthly Colouring Classes from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder, using the beautiful Dancing with Daffodils stamp from the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy. This stamp was actually the first digital stamp that I bought from Marcella!

Here are a few progression shots:

I would like to enter this into a few challenges:

Snowmen Selfie for the Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 7th of February, 2020

At Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Amanda!
Welcome to our second challenge for 2020 and our tribute to Eileen, the former owner and coordinator of the Winter Wonderland Challenge who sadly passed away at the beginning of 2017.

Many of you will remember Eileen from seeing her cards both here and on other challenge blogs - this challenge is our way of remembering her and showing our appreciation for all she did here at the Winter Wonderland Challenge.

Our theme is:

ANYTHING CHRISTMAS GOES

So here is my card:

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme.

Our wonderful sponsor is:

Living in Leeds, Yorkshire in the UK, working full time as a Management Accountant, currently working on 2 design teams and an obsessive crafter and creator of cards. I have no actual style as yet but do love the unusual and quirky. I may be known for producing cards in soft pastel colours. I love anything arty. I've always drawn stuff, for as long as I can remember. In my younger days I sold a few watercolour paintings. I recently found mixed media which is a joy and love creating canvases with flowers. I had a battle with digital drawing for about a year and finally found some software I could gel with.

In January 2016 a challenge team I worked on was short of a designer's images to create with so to the crafting world, to the lovely ladies who have supported me on my journey. I've a Facebook group SheepSki Designs where I hold challenges, some for fun to win digis as well as my monthly card challenge. I've a SheepSki Designs challenge blog as well. Things are growing slowly (thankfully) so I still manage to spend at least a little time with my hubby. Welcome to my world Andrea xx

And the prize on offer for the winner is - 3 images of their choice

We were able to select images, but of the three images, I could not decide! So Helen gave me Snowmen Selfie.

I digitally printed Snowmen Selfie on to X-Press It blending card, which I then cut out using my paper cutter.
I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • snowmen - C00, C0, C1, C2
  • reds - R22, R24, R27
  • greens - G12, G14, G17
  • carrot noses - YR12, YR14, YR16
  • eyes - C7, C9, 100, black Wink of Stella
  • coal mouth - 100
  • top hats - C5, C7, C9, clear Wink of Stella on the red/green bands
  • pipe/arm - E35, E37
  • fluffy white of hat - C00, C0, clear Wink of Stella
  • background - BV000
  • Outline - V25
  • sentiment - BV000, V25, Wink of Stella
I then adhered the coloured image on to a card from my stash and adhered the sentiment from Chickadee in Barberry by the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy.
As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Class from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:
