Hi All!
Welcome to my post about my card for challenge #193, the 6th of November 2022 challenge for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog. I'm writing this on Saturday afternoon after an awesome lunch for my Father's birthday today and before we dash for a basketball game for my son.

Anyway, here is my completed card:

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

I chose to use Fabulous Floral Slimline Card Panel by Alex Syberiawhich I have digitally printed on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • pink - RV000, RV11, RV13, RV14, RV17, RV19
  • yellow stamens - Y38, YR09
  • background - BG0000, BG000, B00, BG01, colourless blender
  • outline - B16
I have cut out the coloured image using my paper cutter and then adhered to a white slimline card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Here is a photo close-up of the colouring before it was cut and before I added the colourless blender to the background:

Feeling Sketchy at Let's Craft and Create Challenge on the 5th of November, 2022

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

Feeling Sketchy - Use a Sketch

Here is my card:

I searched in all my craft challenge bookmarks for a current sketch - there are a lot of sketch challenges that have closed down, but finally I found Sketch Saturday! So I used the sketch #712 that is current now as I write on the 23rd of October, but I think it will have finished before I post. Not to worry, it is a lovely sketch and I think I will use it for a few other cards!

Here is the sketch:

I just received a bunch of stuff from Simon Says Stamps from Stamptember and one of those items that I fell in love with was the October 2022 Card Kit, which had beautiful sunflower stamps. So I stamped the single sunflower from Sunflower Fields by Simon Says Stamp using Rich Cocoa Memento ink on to one of the Kraft deco tags that came in the kit. I then coloured with the following PrismaColour pencils:
  • sunflower petals - white, canary yellow, cadmium orange hue, orange
  • inside of sunflower - white, mineral orange, burnt ochre
  • leaves and stems - apple green, olive green
I added some twine that came with the Kraft deco tags.

I then die cut a circle of paper from Summer Vibes Paper Pack by La-La Land Crafts using the biggest Stitched Nested Circles die set and the strips of the same paper, but the other side using Stitched Ribbon dies both by La-La Land Crafts.

The sentiment label was die cut from white card stock using Scalloped Sentiment Labels die set also by La-La Land Crafts (the first time I have used this die!) The sentiment from Sunflower Fields was stamped in Nautical Blue Memento ink, which I also used to edge the label.

Here is a photo of the proposed layout before I glued everything, also I was trying to decide whether I used a white card or a Kraft card:

After consultation with my teenage daughter, I have used a Kraft square card from Envelope Solutions.

Here is another photo of the card:

I found inspiration from the Simon Says Stamp DT, who showcased some awesome projects especially Suzy Plantamura who posted five projects using the Sunflower Fields stamp set and as usual, from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

I can't wait to use the rest of the October 2022 Card Kit!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
Let's Craft and Create Challenges are monthly and go live on the 5th of every month and you have until the end of the month to add your creations which can be anything goes plus an optional theme.

Winter Robin by Sheep Ski Designs for Winter Wonderland Challenge on the 4th of November, 2022

It has been a crazy busy few months and I had a bit of a rest last month. I am back at Winter Wonderland this month and we are hosted by Christine.

Welcome to our tenth challenge for 2022.

Our theme is:

Robin Redbreast

So here is my project:

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme of Robin Redbreast.

We had a choice of two images this month and I chose Winter Robin, which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It blending card and then used my paper cutter to cut around the image after I have coloured it with the following Copics markers:
  • back - E44, E47, E49
  • red - R24, R27, R46, R59
  • breast - E40, E41, E43, E44
  • beak/legs - E35, E37, E39, white gel pen
  • eye - E47, E49, white gel pen
  • leaves - YG23, YG25, YG67
  • berries - R46, R59, clear Wink of Stella
  • branch - E15, E18
  • snow - BV0000, C00, C0, C1, clear Wink of Stella
  • sky - B0000, BG0000, BG000, B00, BG01, colourless blender
  • outline - B16
You can see a bit of sparkle with clear Wink of Stella on the close-ups:

I adhered the coloured image to a square white card from Envelope Solutions, then stamped Happiest of Holidays from Happiest of Holidays Clear Stamp Set by La-La Land Crafts in Nautical Blue Memento ink using my MISTI.

As usual, I have drawn some inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her awesomMonthly Classes and Bonus Classes.
