Forest Sounds by Rachelle Anne Miller for Little Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #233 on the 7th of July, 2024

Welcome to my post about my card for challenge #233, the 7th of July 2024 challenge for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog.

I was given Forest Sounds, which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics markers:

• skin - E000, E00, E02, E21, E11, R20, 100
• hair - E31, E33, E35, E37, E39
• blue (dress/tights) - B12, B14, B16, B18
• purple - (dress/tights/flowers) - V01, V04, V06
• shoes - E13, E15, E17
• flute - C3, C5
• bunnies - C00, C0, C1
• bird - E71, E74, E77
• bee - YR15, YR18, B000
• grass - YG01, YG23, YG25, G07
• sky - B0000, B000, B00, B02

I was so busy trying to finish the card, I forgot to take a close up photo, so here is another photo of the card:

I cut the coloured image with my scissors and then die cut the largest of the Forest Dies from La-La Land Crafts in green card stock and the second largest in blue card stock. I adhered the blue part on to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions. I adhered the coloured image and then the green card on top.

 I stamped the sentiment from A Good Day Clear Stamp Set also from La-La Land Crafts in Nautical Blue Memento ink with my MISTI. Then I thought it was missing something on the side, so I stamped the bee from A Good Day Clear Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with my Copics, before adhering it to the side.

Add Buttons for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #209 on the 5th of July 2024

 

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Add Buttons

I again decided to do something quick and easy using La-La Land Crafts products, as I have been working quite a bit (end of FY here)!

So, here is my card:

I stamped the hedgehogs from the Sew Happy Clear Stamp Set which is part of the May 2024 Kit of the Month from La-La Land Crafts in Tuxedo Black ink on to X-Press It Blending Card. I then coloured them using the following Copics inks:

• brownish hedgehog - E00, E01, E02, E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49, R20, 100, white gel pen
• reddish hedgehog - E00, E01, E02, E30, E31, E33, E34, E35, E37, E39, R20, 100, white gel pen
• pink (bow/quilt square) - RV11, RV13, RV14
• yellow (material/quilt square) - Y11, Y13, Y15
• purple (material/quilt square) - V01, V04, V06

I fussy cut them and then decided to just use the two above. But now I have two for another project!

For the card, I have used a Kraft square card from Envelope Solutions.

I die cut the Double Stitched Arches Die once in one of the pieces of Celebrate Paper Pack, then 4 times in white card stock. I adhered the inside arch to the bottom and then added an arch layer as it went towards the outside - so I have a dimensional effect! I then adhered the whole arch to the card. 

I die cut buttons from the Quilt Die also part of the May 2024 Kit of the Month from La-La Land Crafts using another piece of Celebrate Paper Pack. I also die cut the sewing machine from the June 2018 Club La-La Land Crafts in gold card stock, as well as the dress form from the same kit. I die cut the dress from the same kit in Celebrate Paper Pack, as well as the button border die from the February 2015 Club La-La Land Crafts.

I adhered the sewing machine to the arch, the dress to the dress form, the button border and an array of buttons down the bottom. I used foam tape to adhered the hedgehogs and then Art Glitter glue and White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops for the buttons and button border.

I have die cut the Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die from white card stock and then stamped the sentiment from Sew Happy Clear Stamp Set using Nautical Blue Memento ink and my MISTI. Then I adhered the label with Art Glitter glue on to the card.

Christmas Flamingo for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #57 for July/August 2024

 

It has been quite a hectic few months, so for challenge #57 for July/August 2024 of the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I chose to make a card drawing inspiration from a Flamingo card workshop by La-La Land Crafts but make it Christmassy!

Here is my card for this month:

This card uses stamps, dies and papers from La-La Land Crafts and I followed Irina's video in the Flamingo Card Class from May 2024 to both colour the flamingo and draw some inspiration to put the card together. For this particular workshop, some of the products are not even released yet! :) 

Anyway, the products are:

• Flamazing Clear Stamp Set - for the flamingo
• Warm Holidays Clear Stamp Set - for the hat
• Christmas Tree with Trimmings Die
• Layered Poinsettia Die
• Here Comes Santa Paper Pack
• Merry & Bright Paper Pack

The flamingo and hat were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with the following Copics: 

• flamingo - R22, R24, R46, YR16, RV02, YR23, BG34, C9, 100, white gel pen
• hat - R22, R24, R46, YG03, G07, G29, white blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops

I fussy cut the flamingo and har and here is a photo of the flamingo close up and the hat before I added the glitter drop:

 

I adhered a piece of the Here Comes Santa Paper Pack on to a Kraft Square card from Envelope Solutions. I then die cut the Christmas tree and poinsettia from papers from Merry & Bright Paper Pack and die cut the Christmas Tree "trimmings" from gold card stock. I adhered the tree and poinsettia with Art Glitter glue, then the flamingo and hat are popped up with foam tape.

Tickled Pink Flamingo for Love to Craft Challenge #81 for July/August 2024

 

It has been another packed few months - where has the year gone! For challenge #81 for July/August 2024 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I wanted to showcase a card that I made by drawing inspiration from a Flamingo card workshop by La-La Land Crafts.

Here is my card for this month:

This card uses stamps, dies and papers from La-La Land Crafts and I followed Irina's video in the Flamingo Card Class from May 2024 to both colour the flamingo and draw some inspiration to put the card together. For this particular workshop, some of the products are not even released yet! :) 

Anyway, the products are:

• Flamazing Clear Stamp Set - for both the flamingo and sentiment
• Tropical Leaves Die
• Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die
• Celebrate Paper Pack

The flamingo was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with the following Copics: 

• R22, R24, R46, YR16, RV02, YR23, BG34, C9, 100, white gel pen

I fussy cut him and forgot to take a photo of him close up, so here is a photo of the flamingo close up on the card:

I adhered a piece of the Celebrate Paper Pack on to a Kraft Square card from Envelope Solutions. I then die cut the Tropical Leaves from two different green card stocks and adhered them to the front of the card. The flamingo is popped up with foam tape in front of the leaves. I stamped one of the sentiments using Nautical Blue Memento ink and my MISTI on to one of the Scalloped Sentiment Labels and then used foam tape to adhere it to the front of the card.
