Fox & Mushrooms Card for Love to Craft Challenge #92 for the 1st of May 2026

Hi All,

Who can believe that it is already May?! How crazy fast is this year going?

Anyway, for challenge #92 for May/June 2026 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog, I made a card from the La-La Land Crafts Colour & Create Virtual Retreat 2026 and we used stamps, dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts. This virtual retreat is the original event for the February 2026 Release, and the theme is Enchanted Woodlands.

Here is my card for this month:

Here is a photo of the individual parts of the card: at the back is a gate fold card that is held together by an embellished belly band (in the middle):

For this card, everything was prepared for us and we just had to colour the image, fussy cut (or die cut it if you have the dies) and then organise the card! :) This is Martha's design and all the products used on these cards are either just released or already in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:

The Fox was already stamped and we coloured with the following Copics:
  • Copics - N0, N2, N4, N6, E00, E09, E11, E97, R14, R46, YR61, YR65, BG10, BG11, BG13, BG18, YG03, YG63, YG67, Y15, Y17
I followed Martha's instructions for the card and here is another photo of the front part on the belly band in front of the card:

Out Of This World for Love to Craft Challenge #87 for 1st of July 2025

For challenge #87 for July/August 2025 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I made a card from the La-La Land Crafts Colour & Create Virtual Retreat in early February and we used stamps, dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts

Here is my card for this month:

For this card, everything was prepared for us so we just had to do some inking and organise the card! :) This was the bonus card so it included an already coloured image that we just needed to fussy cut. This is Irina's design and all the products used on this card are mostly already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:

For the background, I used Distress Oxide ink in the following colours: fossilised amber, picked raspberry. wilted violet, salty ocean, peacock feathers, uncharted mariner. I used black soot on the moon, but was a little heavier on the inking then Irina! I also added Shake & Gilt - multicolour to the moon and FW Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic - White pearl to the background, as well as some white gel pen. Everything was put together following Irina's instructions.

Here is a photo of the front showing all the sparkle:

Here is a photo of the inside of the completed card, as well as one from the side showing the inside:

Birthday Flamingoes for Love to Craft Challenge #85 on the 1st of March 2025

For challenge #85 for March/April 2025 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I made a card during the La-La Land Crafts Colour & Create Virtual Retreat in early February and we used stamps, dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts

Here is my card for this month:

For this card, everything was prepared for us and we just had to colour the images, fussy cut them and then organise the card! :) This is Martha's design and all the products used on this card are actually already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:
The two flamingoes were stamped and we used the following Copics:
  • purple - V12, V15, V17, BV08
  • blue - BG11, BG13, BG18
  • yellow - Y11, Y15, Y17

I also used white gel pen on the flamingoes. Vintage photo, tumbled glass and salty ocean Distress Oxide ink were used for the inside of the rum bottle and just the vintage photo for the sand.
I cut out some of the palm trees from the Summer Vacation Paper and then popped them up with foam tape, as was the sun. The inside of the rum bottle and flamingoes were also popped up with foam tape.
The sentiment was already stamped and as suggested by Martha, I distressed the sentiment and black matting piece with my scissors (even though I have a distressing tool somewhere!)

Here is a photo of the two flamingoes after I fussy cut them:

Here is a photo of the inside:

Here is another photo of the completed card:

Challenge #84 of Love to Craft Challenge for the 1st of January, 2025

Happy New Year!! I can not believe that it is 2025 already!

Anyway, for challenge #84 for January/February 2025 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I made a card using Instant Camera Marci and one of the cute critters from the August 2024 KOTM plus some other dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts

Here is my card for this month:

and here is a photo of the inside:

As it is the August 2024 KOTM, unless you subscribe or purchased this particular kit, Instant Camera Marci and Oh Snap Clear Stamp Set are not even released yet! :)
But, these products are:
Marci and the peacock were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with the following Copics:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E13, R20
  • eyes - BG72, BG75, white gel pen
  • lips - R46, white gel pen
  • hair - YR21, YR23, YR24
  • jeans - B93, B95, B97, B99
  • top/shoes - G06, G07
  • camera - BG72, BG75, white gel pen
  • peacock body - B00, B01, B02, B05, B97, white gel pen
  • peacock eye - T1, white gel pen
  • peacock wings - BG11, BG23, BG15, BG49, YG01, YG03, white gel pen
  • peacock beak/legs - Y13, Y15, Y17
As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Here is a photo of the two images before I fussy cut them:

For the front of the card, I adhered a piece of the Summer Vacation Paper Pack to the front of a white square card from Envelope Solutions and then attached Marci with foam tape.
Here is a photo before I completed the inside:

Then for the inside, I followed most of the directions from Irina for a variety of cards that she has made, but I had to adjust the measurements to fit my card. I die cut the Horizontal Pocket Die from white cardstock and another piece of white cardstock to attach to the pocket to make the base of the card along with strips of one of the papers from the Life Documented Paper Pack. Then for the slider mechanism, I cut blue cardstock for the base part of the mechanism, then matted it with a piece of the Life Documented Paper Pack and then added a smaller white cardstock for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from Oh Snap Clear Stamp Set using my MISTI and Nautical Blue Memento ink ensuring that the two words were stamped separately so that they could be on two lines. Then I adhered the peacock so that he covered any of the words peaking out!

Here are some photos of the inside:

and of the card lying flat:

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from Oh Snap Clear Stamp Set on the front using my MISTI and Nautical Blue Memento ink.

Tickled Pink Flamingo for Love to Craft Challenge #81 for July/August 2024

It has been another packed few months - where has the year gone! For challenge #81 for July/August 2024 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I wanted to showcase a card that I made by drawing inspiration from a Flamingo card workshop by La-La Land Crafts.

Here is my card for this month:

This card uses stamps, dies and papers from La-La Land Crafts and I followed Irina's video in the Flamingo Card Class from May 2024 to both colour the flamingo and draw some inspiration to put the card together. For this particular workshop, some of the products are not even released yet! :)
Anyway, the products are:
The flamingo was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with the following Copics:
  • R22, R24, R46, YR16, RV02, YR23, BG34, C9, 100, white gel pen
I fussy cut him and forgot to take a photo of him close up, so here is a photo of the flamingo close up on the card:

I adhered a piece of the Celebrate Paper Pack on to a Kraft Square card from Envelope Solutions. I then die cut the Tropical Leaves from two different green card stocks and adhered them to the front of the card. The flamingo is popped up with foam tape in front of the leaves. I stamped one of the sentiments using Nautical Blue Memento ink and my MISTI on to one of the Scalloped Sentiment Labels and then used foam tape to adhere it to the front of the card.

Here is another photo of the finished card:

Happy Easter for Love to Craft Challenge #79 for March/April 2024

It has been another packed few months, but for challenge #79 for March/April 2024 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I wanted to use an Easter egg die that I bought a few years ago from La-La Land Crafts.

Here is my card for this month:

This card uses the Easter Eggs die from La-La Land Crafts and I followed Irina's YouTube video which can be found on the page or here. As Irina instructed, I die cut the Easter Egg from Kraft and matte gold card stock, punched out all the inlays and glued them together before glueing to a square Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.
I then die cut the Easter Egg again from a piece of the Sparkle and Shine Paper Pack, also from La-La Land Crafts, then used glue on the inlayed parts of the card and adhered the inlays from the paper on to the card. It was a pretty easy technique!
I then die cut the Happy Easter die from Kokorosa Studio from Kraft and gold matte card stock, adhered them together and then on to the card. I used this die a few years ago for an Easter card but it seems to have been discontinued :(

Watercolour Roses for Love to Craft Challenge #77 for November/December 2023

I'm a little late posting tonight as work has just been crazy!
Anyway, for challenge #77 for November/December 2023 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I decided to do some watercolouring with a new stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp Stamptember.

Here is my card for this month:

I have stamped the roses from Altenew STAMPtember Exclusive Rose Reverie Stamps and Dies on to watercolour card and then coloured with the following Distress pens:
  • roses - spun sugar, worn lipstick, picked raspberry, shaded lilac, carved pumpkin
  • leaves - mowed lawn, lucky clover
As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce from Kit and Clowder and her Kit and Clowder Monthly Colouring Classes.

I have die cut the coloured image with the dies that came with the stamps and then adhered on to a Kraft square card from Envelope Solutions. I then stamped the sentiment from the same set with Elderberry Memento ink.

Here is a close up of the colouring after die cutting:

Challenge 75 for Love to Craft Challenge Blog for 1st of July, 2023

For challenge #75 for July/August 2023 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I decided to Send some Sunshine! We totally need sunshine here in Australia - we have had heaps of rain and of course it is winter! I was lucky enough to escape up to Darwin for a few days this week - it was beautiful and warm! :)

Anyway, here is my card for this month:

I have digitally printed the Sunflower Frenchie Digi plus one of the sentiments from La-La Land Crafts on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics pens:
  • Frenchie - E40, E42, E43, E25, E27, E29, R20, R11
  • green - YG21, YG23, YG25, YG67
  • sunflower - Y11, Y13, Y19, YR14, YR16, E35, E25
  • ground - C1, C3, C5
  • sky - E50, Y11, RV42, R30, B000, B00, B21, B12, B23
  • outline - YG67
As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce from Kit and Clowder and her Kit and Clowder Monthly Colouring Classes.

I have cut out the coloured image with my paper cutter and adhered it to a white square card from Envelope Solutions. I also coloured the sentiment with black glitter pen, which unfortunately smeared as I was in a hurry to adhere the image to the card!

Here is a close up of the colouring before I smudged the black glitter pen!
