Use Twine for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #225 on the 5th of November, 2025

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Use Twine

I have used some tag dies from La-La Land Crafts that I have not used before! I also used an image that I coloured earlier in October from Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Collab with La-La Land Crafts
So, here is my tag:

Besides the Oh Deer Stamptember Simon Says Stamp Collab and matching dies, all of the products are already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop and are part of the Christmas 2025 Release, so the products are:
The deer was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to X-Press It Blending card, die cut and coloured with the following Copics and Prismacolour pencils:
  • Copics - E31, E33, E35, E37, E41, E43, E44, BG72, C1, C3, C5, C7, R20, R22, R24, R27, R39
  • Prismacolour pencils - PC924 Crimson Red, PC925 Crimson Lake, PC935 Black, PC936 Slate Grey, PC939 Peach, PC941 Light Umber, PC945 Sienna Brown, PC1054 50% Warm Grey
I also used Glossy Accents on the eyes.
I totally forgot to take a photo of the image after colouring it.

I die cut one of the papers from Winter Forest Paper Pack using the largest stitched tag, then die cut the largest scalloped tag from Kraft cardstock and a green cardstock. The trees are the smaller of the Tall Christmas Trees and they are die cut from green cardstock. I adhered the tags together, then the trees on top. I attached the deer using foam tape.
The sentiment is stamped on cream cardstock using Elderberry Memento ink and die cut with the matching sentiment die. I attached the sentiment with foam tape.

I finished the tag with some twine from my stash!

Here is a photo before I added the Glossy Accents to the eyes:

Here is another photo:

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges:

Black & White for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #214 on the 5th of December, 2024

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Black & White

I envisioned a silhouette of Santa flying past the moon with lots of snow! But my card is a little more than just black & white and is probably more blue than anything! Oh well, it was heaps of fun to make.

So, here is my card:

I stamped and die cut the penguins from Chill Winter Season, which was a Stamptember Exclusive from Simon Says Stamp and La-La Land Crafts. The penguin was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics pens:
  • black - C5, C7, C9
  • white - C00, C0, C1, 0
  • turquoise - BG11, BG13, BG18
  • red - R24, R46, R89
  • orange - YR15, YR18, E13
I added White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops to the pompom and edging of the hat. As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.
Here is a close up of the penguin before and after adding the Nuvo Glitter Drops:

The rest of the products I have used are all from La-La Land Crafts.
I die cut the Santa Sleigh die from black cardstock, then the largest of the Double Stitched Arches die from a piece of the Winter Time Paper Pack. I also die cut the arch from black foam and attached it to the central arch
I adhered the die cut paper on to a white square card from Envelope Solutions and then adhered the popped up arch in the centre. I attached Santa over the moon and the penguin in the other corner.

I stamped the sentiment from Chill Winter Season using my MISTI and Nautical Blue Memento ink, them die cut it with the sentiment die from the set. I attached the sentiment with foam tape.

Here is another photo of the card and a couple from the two sides:

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges:

Hello Frosty Snowman from Polkadoodles Crafts for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #59 for November/December 2024

It has been quite a hectic few months, but for challenge #59 for November/December 2024 of the
Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog we were given a chance to use an image from Polkadoodles. So I chose Hello Frosty Snowman and
used some of my products from La-La Land Crafts!

Here is my card for this month:

I digitally printed Hello Frosty Snowman on to X-PressIt Blending Card and then die cut the image using the largest Scalloped Rectangles Die from La-La Land Crafts and then the sentiment is stamped and die cut from Chill Winter Season which was a Stamptember collaboration between Simon Says Stamp and La-La Land Crafts.

The image was coloured with the following Copics:
  • snowman - C00, C0, C1, C3, 0, E44, E47, E49, YR12, YR15, YR18
  • bird - B91, B14, B16, B18
  • hearts - R22, R24, R27, R39
  • scarf - YG00, YG21, YG03, YG17
  • sky - V000, V01, V04, V06, V09, BV00, BV13, B000, B00, B12, B23, B24, B37, B99, BG10, G000, G00, YG11, YG00, Y000, white gel pen, white PrismaColour pencil
The sentiment was stamped in Nautical Blue Memento ink.

To make the card, I adhered the coloured image on to a white card from Envelope Solutions. I then positioned and popped up the die cut sentiment using foam tape.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes and bonus classes.

Here is a close up photo of the image before I adhered it to the card:

Here is another photo of the finished card:

Winter Penguins for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #58 for September/October 2024

It has been quite a hectic few months, so for challenge #58 for September/October 2024 of the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I chose to make a card drawing inspiration from something I had seen (but I can't for the life of me remember where!!) and use my products from La-La Land Crafts and make it Christmassy!

Here is my card for this month:

This card uses the following stamps, dies and papers from La-La Land Crafts and some stamped and die cut penguins from Chill Winter Season which was a Stamptember collaboration between Simon Says Stamp and La-La Land Crafts:
The penguins were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with the following Copics:
  • white - C0, C1, C3
  • black - C5, C7, C9
  • red - R22, R24, R27, R39
  • green - YG21, YG03, YG17
  • beak/feet - YR12, YR14, YR18, R20
  • hat pompoms - white blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops
I die cut the hills from white cardstock, the fence was already die cut from some Kraft cardstock and the Christmas Tree was already die cut from Merry & Bright Paper Pack. Also the label was already die cut from white cardstock.

To make the card, I positioned and cut a piece of the Going Places Paper Pack on to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions. I then positioned and adhered the hills, fence and Christmas tree.
The sentiment was stamped with my MISTI on to one of the labels from Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die using Nautical Blue Memento ink and adhered to the card. Then the penguins were popped up using foam tape.

I totally forgot to take a photo of the penguins before they were attached to the card, but I took a photo before I adhered them to the card:

Here is another photo of the finished card:

Christmas Penguins for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #56 for May/June 2024

It has been quite a hectic few months, so for challenge #56 for May/June 2024 of the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I chose to make a card using some of the lovely background paper I have been collecting!!

So I created a card using some penguins that were already stamped and die cut and a new background paper from La-La Land Crafts:

As I mentioned, I already stamped and die cut the penguins are from Chill Winter Season which is a stamp & die set from Simon Says Stamps Stamptember in collaboration with La-La Land Crafts.
I coloured them with the following Copics:
  • black - C3, C5, C7, C9
  • white - C00, C0, C1
  • beak/feet - YR12, YR14, YR18, R20
  • red - R22, R24, R27, R39
  • green - YG21, YG03, YG17
  • blue - B14, B16, B18
I then chose a paper from the Winter Time Paper Pack by La-La Land Crafts and adhered it to a white square card from Envelope Solutions
I then stamped the sentiment from Winter Hippos Clear Stamp Set also by La-La Land Crafts in Bahama Blue Memento ink using my MISTI.
Here is a photo of the penguins close up:

I also decided to add a pocket on the inside for a gift card - I die cut the Left Pocket Die by La-La Land Crafts in matte gold cardstock and then adhered it to the inside of the card:

October 2023 Card Chain Challenge Reveal

I signed up again for the Card Chain Challenge! Essentially you sign up and make a card that you send to the person before you in the sign up and the person that signed up after you, sends you a card!

For October 2023, I made a card to send to Jill in West Virginia - this is wh
at I sent her:

Here are the options that we had to make the card:

Theme Options: Bears / Balloons / Friendship

Product / Technique Options: Something Fluffy / Spotlight Stamping

I have used the theme options of bears, balloons and friendship, then also "something fluffy", although my version is not fluffy on the card, but is in real life! I have used a tutorial by Jennifer McGuire of a simple slider card, which you can find here! Unless indicated all the products are from La-La Land Crafts.

I stamped the bear images from December 2016 Club La-La Land Crafts kit on X-Press It Blending card with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, I coloured the three images and fussy cut them!

I have coloured all the images with the following Copics markers:
  • bears - E00, E11, E13, E15, E18, R20
  • basket - E71, E74, E77
  • balloon - BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18, Y17
  • blue on earth - BG53, BG57, BG49
  • green on earth - G40, G43, G46
I then followed the tutorial from Jennifer McGuire Ink - Simple Mirror Stamping + DIY Slider Card using the Long Stitched Slots Die to make the slider part. I also used the Three Clouds Die plus Distress Oxide inks: Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn.

I followed Jennifer's instructions in the video and used a "Pull" sentiment from Studio Light Essentials Collection Clear Stamps #276 - I think I bought it from Simon Says Stamp, but it doesn't seem to be available from there anymore. I stamped all three sentiments - "pull" and one from the December 2016 Club La-La Land Crafts kit and then one from May 2023 KOTM - all in Elderberry Memento ink.

I learnt from my last interactive card and doubled the pull tab, so that it easily slides back and forth and has some stability!

I adhered my interactive base to a white card from Envelope Solutions.

Here is a photo before I adhered the interactive base to the card and also before I stamped the sentiment on the pull tab:

Here is a photo of the images after fussy cutting:

Here is a photo of the card before, during and after pulling the slider:

As usual, I found inspiration for the colouring from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
Corrosive Challenge #10 - Anything Goes (I won this challenge last month!)
Critter Crazy Challenge #80 - Anything Goes with a Featured Critter - I have three!

I hope that Jill likes the card, again, I was a little late organising myself and posting it as I was away in Perth for work and then have been at a conference in the Adelaide Hills.

Watercolour Roses for Love to Craft Challenge #77 for November/December 2023

I'm a little late posting tonight as work has just been crazy!
Anyway, for challenge #77 for November/December 2023 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I decided to do some watercolouring with a new stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp Stamptember.

Here is my card for this month:

I have stamped the roses from Altenew STAMPtember Exclusive Rose Reverie Stamps and Dies on to watercolour card and then coloured with the following Distress pens:
  • roses - spun sugar, worn lipstick, picked raspberry, shaded lilac, carved pumpkin
  • leaves - mowed lawn, lucky clover
As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce from Kit and Clowder and her Kit and Clowder Monthly Colouring Classes.

I have die cut the coloured image with the dies that came with the stamps and then adhered on to a Kraft square card from Envelope Solutions. I then stamped the sentiment from the same set with Elderberry Memento ink.

Here is a close up of the colouring after die cutting:
