Use Twine for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #225 on the 5th of November, 2025

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Use Twine

I have used some tag dies from La-La Land Crafts that I have not used before! I also used an image that I coloured earlier in October from Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Collab with La-La Land Crafts
So, here is my tag:

Besides the Oh Deer Stamptember Simon Says Stamp Collab and matching dies, all of the products are already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop and are part of the Christmas 2025 Release, so the products are:
The deer was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to X-Press It Blending card, die cut and coloured with the following Copics and Prismacolour pencils:
  • Copics - E31, E33, E35, E37, E41, E43, E44, BG72, C1, C3, C5, C7, R20, R22, R24, R27, R39
  • Prismacolour pencils - PC924 Crimson Red, PC925 Crimson Lake, PC935 Black, PC936 Slate Grey, PC939 Peach, PC941 Light Umber, PC945 Sienna Brown, PC1054 50% Warm Grey
I also used Glossy Accents on the eyes.
I totally forgot to take a photo of the image after colouring it.

I die cut one of the papers from Winter Forest Paper Pack using the largest stitched tag, then die cut the largest scalloped tag from Kraft cardstock and a green cardstock. The trees are the smaller of the Tall Christmas Trees and they are die cut from green cardstock. I adhered the tags together, then the trees on top. I attached the deer using foam tape.
The sentiment is stamped on cream cardstock using Elderberry Memento ink and die cut with the matching sentiment die. I attached the sentiment with foam tape.

I finished the tag with some twine from my stash!

Here is a photo before I added the Glossy Accents to the eyes:

Christmas Gift Tags for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #54 for January/February 2024

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! Hope everyone has a good slide into 2024!

For challenge #54 for January/February 2024 of the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I chose to showcase my Christmas Gift Tags using La-La Land Crafts stamps and dies.

Anyway, here are my gift tags:

Then I realised that I needed one more, but I wanted a different animal - so I used an already coloured and fussy cut hippo:

I stamped the critters from the Warm Holidays Bundle using Black Tuxedo Memento ink on to X-Press It Blending card, die cut them with the matching dies and then coloured with the following Copics:
  • deer - E40, E42, E55, E57, R30, R24, R27, R59, B14, YG03
  • dog - E40, E42, E43, E57, R24, R27, R59, YR21, YG03
  • bunny - C00, C0, C1, C3, G20, YG17, R24, R27, R59, R30
I die cut the gold and silver scalloped circles using Pierced Scalloped Circles die from gold and silver card stock, then the white circles using Double Stitched Circles Die from white card stock.
I sprayed the leftover white card stock with Juniper Berry Distress Mica Stain and then die cut a heap of Two Trees die from the November 2016 Club La-La Land Crafts Kit

The sentiment from Winter Hippos Clear Stamp Set was stamped on the white card stock circle using my MISTI and Onyx Black Versafine ink.
To make the card, I have adhered the white circle to the silver or gold scalloped circle using glue, then the Two Trees, also with glue. The critter was attached with foam tape. I then punched a hole in the top and threaded twine from my stash to complete the gift tags.

Here is a close up of the critters after they were die cut and coloured and before they were attached to the gift tags:

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce from Kit and Clowder and her Kit and Clowder Monthly Colouring Classes, as well as the awesome La-La Land Crafts DT, particularly Vic and her tutorial on batch making Christmas Tags.

Here are another few photos:

Candy Cane Classic by Power Poppy for November Winter Wonderland on the 5th of November, 2021

At Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Patricia!
Welcome to our eleventh challenge for 2021.

Our theme is:

Candy Canes and/or For a Child

So here is my project:

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme of Candy Canes and/or For a Child.

This month, we don't have a sponsor, so we were able to choose anything in our stash, as long as it fit the theme! So we are also playing for fun as there will be no prize.

I chose the image Candy Cane Classic from the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy, which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It blending card and then used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the images (these were printed and cut a few years ago!)

I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • red - R22, R24, R39
  • white - C0, C1, C3
  • holly - YG03, YG17, YG67
  • berries - R24, R27, R59
  • ribbon - BG10, BG13. BG18
I then adhered the coloured images on to green and red tags from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

and another photo of the three tags:

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Use Ribbon, Twine or Lace - Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 4th of August, 2017

Can you believe that it is already August! This year, as usual has flown by - lucky I have been keeping up with my Christmas Cards, although most of the time I find I do not want to give them away, so I have a mad dash to do something else!

Anyway, on to this fortnight's challenge at Winter Wonderland blog.
This time we are hosted by the lovely Christine, who would like us to "use ribbon, twine or lace" on our Christmas projects.

So hopefully this project I will actually give away at the end of the year, as it is so easy to make! Also, I can keep them as tags, or I can add the tags to a card for a more complete look, similar to these two cards here and here.

So here are two tags from a series of my Christmas Tags using Power Poppy stamps:

Here is a close up of the Snowman tag:

Here is a close of the Tree in a Cup tag:

The Snowman from Let's Chill has been digitally printed on watercolour paper, cut out with my Silhouette Cameo and then coloured with Distress Markers, but I have no idea which colours! (I have a book that I write my colour combinations, but I don't always keep it up-to-date - I'll have to do better!!)

I have stamped the Tree in a Cup from Cozy Cupfuls Stamp Set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on to X-Press It card, fussy cut it and then coloured it with the following Copic Markers:
  • greens - YG00, YG61, YG63, YG67
  • reds - R22, R24, R27, R29
  • browns - E40, E41, E43, E44
  • greys - W0, W1, W3
  • gold - gold Spica pen
  • glitter - clear Wink of Stella

Finally I have adhered the coloured images to red tags from my stash (bought long ago!) using foam squares and rounds.

The spotted evergreen ribbon tied in a bow is from Anita's Everyday Ribbons, also from my stash.

I am going to do some more tags and so will add another post!

This fortnight, we are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons.

The winner will receive a 10 pound gift voucher to spend instore.

"Crafty Ribbons is a ribbon emporium; we are passionate about ribbons and want to share our fantastic ribbons with others. Our range of Christmas ribbons is second to none. Need a little bit of ribbon inspiration? Have a look at our projects on our blog, or visit our Inspiration blog, or maybe join in with our Ribbon Challenge on Facebook. Go on, have a look... It's worth it!"
