Stitched Up (Real or Faux) for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #201 on the 5th of November, 2023

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Stitched Up (real or faux)

I decided to use a few items that have been leftover from previous challenges!

So, here is my card:

I have used a fox that I had previously coloured for the September 2023 Card Chain Challenge and a square piece that was the insert from my Diorama card for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #53.
The fox is from the June 2021 Club La-La Land Crafts kit by La-La Land Crafts. I coloured it with the following Copics:
  • fox - E93, E95, E97, E99, W00, W0, W1, W3, W5, white gel pen
  • snap dragons - V20, V22, V25, YG11, YG23
I also die cut the snap dragons from this kit in white cardstock and coloured them with the following Copics:
  • purple - V12, V15, V17
  • green - G05, YG17, YG67
The background piece is blended with the following Distress Oxide inks from top to bottom:
  • tumbled glass, salty ocean, peacock feathers
I added stitches using a white gel pen around the edge of the coloured background.

Using my MISTI, I stamped the sentiment also from the June 2021 Club La-La Land Crafts kit in Bahama Blue Memento ink on to a small white square card from Envelope Solutions.
Then adhered the background piece, coloured snap dragons and fox.

Here is a photo of the snap dragons coloured with Copics:

As usual, I found inspiration for the colouring from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges:

Ta-Da Penguins for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #53 on the 1st of November, 2023

As it has been so crazy at work, I'm really late posting this.
Anyway, for challenge #53 for November/December 2023 of the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I chose to use a new La-La Land Crafts stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp during Stamptember, as well as a die set that I bought from Simon Says Stamp by Lawn Fawn - I have been eyeing it off since it was released!

My little penguins are probably a little big for the Ta-Da! Diorama card, so I will need to check out the stamps that are meant to go with it!!

Anyway, here is my card:

Then it opens up - TA-DA! to reveal the third penguin!

I stamped the penguins from the La-La Land Crafts STAMPtember Exclusive Chill Winter Season Stamps and Dies on to X-Press It Blending card, die cut them with the matching dies and then coloured with the following Copics:
  • black - C3, C5, C7, C9
  • white - C00, C0, C1
  • beak/feet - YR12, YR14, YR18, R20
  • red - R22, R24, R27, R39
  • green - YG21, YG03, YG17
  • blue - B14, B16, B18
I also used a white gel pen and white blizzard Nuvo glitter drops.
I die cut the pieces for the Ta-Da! Diorama dies by Lawn Fawn from white cardstock, as well as the hillside inserts following one of the many tutorials available on YouTube.
I then coloured the pieces, other than the hillsides with the following Distress Oxide inks:
  • peacock feathers
  • salty ocean
  • tumbled glass
I put the Ta-Da! Diorama card together following the tutorial and adhered my three penguins with foam tape and glue.
The sentiment was stamped on card using my MISTI and Bahama Blue Memento ink, then die cut using one of the dies in the set!
To make the card, I have attached a piece of paper from Starry Night Paper Pack from La-La Land Crafts on to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions. Then I adhered the Ta-Da! Diorama card in place.

Here is a close up of the penguins after they were fussy cut and before they were attached to the card:

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce from Kit and Clowder and her Kit and Clowder Monthly Colouring Classes, as well as the awesome La-La Land Crafts DT.

Snow Wonder for Colour Crazy Challenge for the 11th of October, 2019

At Colour Crazy Challenge for the 11th of October, we are sponsored by Createful Heart Designs and I chose their snowmen in the colouring page: Snow Wonder.

As I mentioned, the sponsor for this challenge is Createful Heart Designs.

Mary is based in Indiana and started drawing and creating handmade cards in the early 1980s. In 2002, she started looking at making digital images, alongside her artist husband, Mark and Createful Heart Designs was born.
There is a blog:
https://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com/
and a Facebook page:
Createful Heart Digis & Design

I have digitally printed the snowmen from Snow Wonder on to X-Press It Blending card and then cut using my paper cutter.
I have coloured them with the following Copics markers:
  • snowmen - C00, C0, C1, C2, R20, colourless blender
  • buttons - BG57
  • nose - YR07, YR09
  • reds - R22, R24, R27
  • greens - YG11, YG13, YG07
  • snow - C00, C0, C1, colourless blender, BV0000, Y00
  • sky - B32, B34, B37, B39
  • stars - Y38, white gel pen
The night sky is from a Sky Techniques class by the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder.
I have adhered the coloured image to a square white card from Envelope Solutions and stamped the sentiments from Toboggan Together by Lawn Fawn in Nautical Blue Memento ink and the snowflakes on the side also from Toboggan Together by Lawn Fawn in Summer Sky Memento ink.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

Cute Christmas - Winter Wonderland Challenge for the 14th of April, 2017

For the next two weeks at Winter Wonderland, we are hosted by Carol, who has chosen the theme: CUTE CHRISTMAS.

This means that you should make a Christmas project with a cute animal or critter!

We are sponsored these next two weeks by Miss Daisy Stamps, who are giving the winner 4 images, one from each of the four artists that reside at Miss Daisy Stamps!

Jennifer Nilsson Art ♥ Mari Digis ♥ Miss Daisy's Collection ♥ We Are 3© Digital Shop

Join us at Miss Daisy Stamps Create & Share Facebook Group to meet the artists, share fun inspiration, receive freebies and special deals. See you there!

So on to my card!

I chose "Gift of Love Snowman" by Jennifer Nilsson Art for my image.  I digitally printed him on X-Press It paper and then coloured him with the following Copics markers:
  • red: R32, R35, R37
  • green: YG11, YG06, YG09
  • carrot nose: YR09
  • body of snowman: B000, B00
  • bird: BV01, BV13, BV17
  • background: BG0000, BG000, BG01
Then, unfortunately my Silhouette Cameo was not behaving and I had to fussy cut the snowman and bird! :(

I have then made a shaker card using stamps and dies from Ready, Set, SnowReady, Set, Snow - Lawn Cuts and Ready, Set, Snow Shaker Add-On all from Lawn Fawn. It is the first time that I have used this set and I have had it for a while!

I stamped the snowglobe using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to some white card stock from my stash. I die cut the snowglobe and a base snowglobe from the same white card stock.
I stamped Merry Christmas from Ready, Set, Snow using Cottage Ivy Memento ink, then I coloured the base of the snowglobe with E55, E57 and E59 Copics markers.
The shaker component was made using my Fuse tool and Waterfall Photo Sleeves both from We R memory keepers. I added foil stars, glitter and seed beads from my stash to the shaker. Foam tape was used to adhere the shaker to the two parts of the snowglobe.

I adhered the snowman to the front of the shaker using double-sided tape.
I have then adhered the shaker to a small square card from Envelope Solutions.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Weekly Christmas Card Challenge #10 - anything goes as long as its Christmas
Christmas with the Cuties #4 - red and green
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge Extra - April - anything goes as long as its Christmas
