Cowbells Ring for Merry Little Christmas Challenge #62 for the 1st of May, 2025

For challenge #62 for May/June 2025 of the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I made a card from the La-La Land Virtual Christmas Cards Class using some of my products from La-La Land Crafts!

Here is my card for this month:

and here is a photo from the side so you can sort of see the inside:

This is Irina's design and all the products used on this card are actually already released in the La-La Land Crafts Shop, so the products are:
The cow was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on to X-Press It Blending card and coloured with the following Copics and Prismacolour pencils:
  • Copics - E21, E23, BG72, BG75, C1, C3, C5, YR23, R21, R22, R24, R27, R85, G05, G07
  • Prismacolour pencils - PC911 Olive Green, PC912 Apple Green, PC913 Spring Green, PC924 Crimson Red, PC925 Crimson Lake, PC935 Black, PC936 Slate Grey, PC939 Peach, PC943 Burnt Ochre, PC1034 Goldenrod, PC1054 50% Warm Grey, PC1082 Chocolate, PC1088 Muted Turquoise, PC1090 Kelp Green
I also used white gel pen on the image.

Here is a close up photo of the coloured image before I adhered it to the card:

I followed Irina's instructions from the class, but added White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops on to the snowflakes instead of pearls (I have tucked them away somewhere!)
The sentiment was stamped using Onyx Black Versafine ink. Everything on the inside of the card was adhered with Art Glitter glue. The front is a mix of foam tape and Art Glitter glue.

Here is a photo of the inside with the card flat:

Here is another photo of the finished card:

Challenge 51 for Merry Little Christmas Challenge on the 1st of July, 2023

For challenge #51 for July/August 2023 of the Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog I chose to use some of my La-La Land Crafts stash. I sent the photo to Leslie, but then realised that it needed a bit extra! So I have added a few things since I sent the photo :)

Here is the original photo of the card:

I stamped the Gingerbread Men from Gingerbread Wishes on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with the following Copics:
  • gingerbread - E11, E13, E15, E17, E18
  • red - R20, R22, R24, R39
  • white - 0, N0, N2, N4
  • buttons - BG11, BG13, BG18
  • green - YG21, YG03, YG17, YG67
I also used a white gel pen and fussy cut the Gingerbread Men. Then die cut the Ski Lodge die from Kraft cardstock. I removed the windows and coloured them with Y15 and the window frames with R39, then I ensured they would not fall out by adhering double sided tape to the back.

I originally die cut the Fence on a Hill die from the November 2020 Club La-La Land Crafts kit with Kraft cardstock, but on reflection, I wanted a little pop! So later I die cut it from white cardstock. I also die cut a little hill for the house to sit on from white cardstock using the Snowbanks die from the same Club kit.
For the sentiment, I die cut one of the flags from the Long Flags die from white cardstock and stamped the sentiment from Gingerbread Wishes using Versafine Onyx Black ink and my MISTI.

Then as there was an empty space and it lacked a bit of sparkle - as I mentioned above, I have die cut the fence out of white cardstock and added nuvo glitter drops in White Blizzard to the ski lodge (I need to find something in my stash that looks like snow, I know I have something!). I also then die cut the cloud and moon with star using the Crescent Moon die and some gold paper.

To make the card, I have cut, outlined with B26 and attached a piece of paper from Starry Night Paper Pack on to a white square card from Envelope Solutions. Then I adhered the snowbank, fence, ski lodge, cloud and moon with glue. The sentiment and Gingerbread Men are adhered with foam tape.

Here is a close up of the Gingerbread Men after they were fussy cut and before they were attached to the card:

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce from Kit and Clowder and her Kit and Clowder Monthly Colouring Classes, as well as the awesome La-La Land Crafts DT.

Ribbon, Lace, Twine (Use all or some) Challenge at Let's Craft and Create for the 5th of May, 2023

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

Ribbon, Lace, Twine (Use all or some)

I started to colour one of the cute ostriches from Irina at La-La Land Crafts for another project, but then changed my idea, so I decided to use him for this month at Let's Craft and Create Challenge.

So here is my card:

I have stamped one of the ostriches from Deck The Halls Clear Stamp Set from La-La Land Crafts using Black Tuxedo Memento ink on to X-Press It Blending card and then coloured with Copic inks as follows:
  • feathers - BV23, BV25, BV29
  • skin - E000, E00, E02, E21, E11, E04
  • eyes - BG13, BG15
  • purple - V12, V15, V17
  • turquoise - BG11, BG13, BG15
  • pink - RV63, RV55, RV66
  • orange - YR12, YR23, YR68
  • green - YG21, YG23, YG17
  • yellow - Y00, Y15, Y38
I have cut the image out using the Deck The Halls Outline Dies. Then I die cut the Noel die from Christmas Hodgepodge Paper and the Large Banner Die from Christmas Hodgepodge Paper, white cardstock and silver paper.
I already had a Snowflake Border Die cut from white card stock. I also found some smaller snowflakes in my stash that were die cut from the Snowflakes (set of 4) die from the October 2014 Club La-La Land Crafts Kit.

I assembled the banner with the snowflake border behind and looped some Baker's Twine from my stash through the holes in the banner. I adhered the banner on to Kraft card from Envelope Solutions using foam tape and then added the ostrich.
I also added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew to the snowflakes (I think I should have used one with more sparkle!)

Here is a close-up photo of the ostrich before he was die cut:

Here is the layout of the banner before I glued everything:

Here is another photo with the card flat so that you can see the colours:

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and used some inspiration from the cards of the La-La Land Crafts Design Team on the La-La Land Crafts blog and Facebook.

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges:
The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up Challenge #100 - Anything Goes Christmas with the Optional Twist of Holiday Decorations

Say What? - Use a Sentiment for Let's Craft and Create Challenge on the 5th of February, 2023

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

Say What? - Use a Sentiment

Here is my card:

I have stamped Decorating Tree Marci from La-La Land Crafts on to X-Press It Blending card using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I have then coloured her with Copic inks as follows:
  • skin - E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
  • hair - E40, E41, E43, E44, E89
  • red - R22, R24, R46, R89
  • brown - E40, E41, E43, E44
  • grey - N1, N3, N5, N7
  • blue/green - BG11, BG13, BG18
  • green - YG21, YG03, YG25, YG17, YG67
I have used a white gel pen for the dots and strips and then fussy cut her.
I have then die cut two Christmas Trees from Christmas Tree with Trimmings die by La-La Land Crafts - one out of silver and one out of green cardstock, then I also embossed the green one so that the trimmings could be added!
I adhered the silver tree to a Kraft square card from Envelope Solutions and then the embossed green tree on top. Marci is popped up with foam tape and the sentiment is the one that comes with Decorating Tree Marci, stamped in Nautical Blue Memento ink.

Here is a close-up photo of Marci before fussy-cutting:

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges:

Mika by SheepSki Designs for Winter Wonderland on the 2nd of April, 2021

At Winter Wonderland this month, we are hosted by Michelle.
Welcome to our fourth challenge for 2021.

Our theme is:

Peace on Earth

So here is my card:

Please remember that it is Christmas projects only and they must include the theme.
"Peace on Earth"

Our sponsor for this challenge is SheepSki Designs:

Living in Leeds, Yorkshire in the UK, working full time as a Management Accountant, currently working on 2 design teams and an obsessive crafter and creator of cards. I have no actual style as yet but do love the unusual and quirky. I may be known for producing cards in soft pastel colours. I love anything arty. I've always drawn stuff, for as long as I can remember. In my younger days I sold a few watercolour paintings. I recently found mixed media which is a joy and love creating canvases with flowers. I had a battle with digital drawing for about a year and finally found some software I could gel with.

In January 2016 a challenge team I worked on was short of a designer's images to create with so to the crafting world, to the lovely ladies who have supported me on my journey. I've a Facebook group SheepSki Designs where I hold challenges, some for fun to win digis as well as my monthly card challenge. I've a SheepSki Designs challenge blog as well. Things are growing slowly (thankfully) so I still manage to spend at least a little time with my hubby. Welcome to my world Andrea xx

And the prize on offer for the winner is - 3 images of their choice

I was given Mika for my image, which I digitally printed on to X-Press It blending card and then cut out using my paper cutter.
I have coloured the image with the following Copics markers:
  • skin - E000, E00, E11
  • hair - YR14, YR18, E08, E18
  • dress - V01, V04, V06, V09
  • wings - BG000/B000, B00, BV02, V000, V01, V04, BG05, C1
  • dove - C0, C1, C3, Y17
  • sky - RV00, Y00, G00, BG53, B32, B34, B37, B39, white gel pen
  • outline - V06
I then adhered the coloured image on to a white card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Here is a close-up of the colouring - there is sparkle on the wings, but it is hard to see:

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Be of Good Cheer with Glittering Glass Santa

Here is another Christmas creation, this time for a challenge that I found called Creative Knockouts. They had a recipe of using 3 patterned papers, two embellishments and 1 image.
So here is my card:

I have used three patterned papers from a paper stack called Twig & Berry by KaiserCraft, one of them was a scalloped die cut from the back. The green background paper and velvety banner paper have been outlined with brushed corduroy Distress Ink, I even "smooshed" some ink on to the edges of the green paper to make it looked distressed.
The papers were adhered to a Kraft card from Envelope Solutions.

The image that I have used is from Power Poppy - Glittering Glass Santa - he is one of my favourites.  He was digitally printed on to X-Press It paper and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo. I have coloured him with the following Copics markers:
  • face - E000, R20
  • jacket - R32, R35, R37
  • gloves - 100
  • greenery/tree - G12, G14, G17
  • berries - R46, R59
  • top of ornament - Y28
  • background - BG000, BG01
  • sparkle - Wink of Stella
Here is a close up of the image:

I also coloured the sentiment piece (again digitally printed on to X-Press It paper and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo), using the following Copics markers:
  • berries - R46, R59, clear Wink of Stella
  • branch - E09, brown Wink of Stella
  • background - E81, E84, E87
For my two embellishments, I have added some brown and white Baker's twine to the banner paper and then coloured three Rhinestones from KaiserCraft with R59.

I have also used the sketch from Mojo Mondays:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
CraftyHazelnuts Christmas Challenge #321 - anything Christmas and something green
