It has been another packed few months - where has the year gone, I can't believe it is nearly the end of the year. My daughter is in the midst of Year 12 exams - not sure where the time has gone, I still remember when she started school.
Anyway, for challenge #83 for November/December 2024 of the Love to Craft Challenge Blog I made another card using the cute hedgehogs from the May 2024 KOTM plus some other dies and paper from La-La Land Crafts.
Here is my card for this month:
As it is the May 2024 KOTM, unless you subscribe or purchased this particular kit, the Sew Happy Clear Stamp Set and Thread and Needle Die are not even released yet! :)
But, the most of the products are:
I have die cut the Linked Squares Die from white cardstock and one of the papers from the Celebrate Paper Pack, but it looks like this particular paper pack is no longer available - it is one of my favourites!
The hedgehogs were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with the following Copics:
- brownish hedgehog - E00, E01, E02, E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49, R20, 100, white gel pen
- reddish hedgehog - E00, E01, E02, E30, E31, E33, E34, E35, E37, E39, R20, 100, white gel pen
- scissors - C3, C5, V01, V04, V06
- yellow thread - Y11, Y13, Y15
- pincushion - V01, V04, V06
- needles - C1, C3
I just realised in both of these hedgehogs, I have not coloured the arms and legs properly! Oh well, too late now! Here is a photo of them close up before I fussy cut them:
I die cut the Thread and Needle Die from Kraft cardstock three times and then coloured with the following PrismaColour pencils: night cerulean blue, pink, magenta, bronze and metallic gold. I also added clear Wink of Stella to the needles.
I adhered the two die cuts of the Linked Squares Die together and I already had one of the labels from Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die die cut from white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Sew Happy Clear Stamp Set on to the label using my MISTI and Nautical Blue Memento ink.
To make the card, I adhered the sentiment label on to a white slimline card from Envelope Solutions. I then adhered everything else on to the card, although I used pop dots on the thread.
Here is another photo of the finished card:
