Dog Greyscale from Morgan's Artworld for Challenge #165 at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends on the 5th of September, 2021

Hi All!
Welcome to my post about my card for challenge #165, the 5th of September challenge for the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog.

I am a little slow posting tonight as it is Father's Day here in Australia and I have been busy all day after my son's first football (Aussie Rules) final, cleaning my house and making roast pork (with yummy crackling), roast veg (homegrown beetroots and homegrown Jerusalem artichokes, with potatoes, carrots and parsnips), then steamed broccolini and beans. My mum made gravy and then we enjoyed a Lemon tart for dessert (recipe from Better Homes and Gardens, think it needs a bit of tweaking!). We were joined by my mum, dad and sister, so three generations.

Anyway, here is my card:

I chose the digital stamp Dog Greyscale which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It Blending Card. I have used my paper cutter to cut around my image, followed by colouring with the following Copics:
  • E00, E51, E53, E55, E57, E59, E79, R20
I have adhered the coloured image on to a Kraft square card from Envelope Solutions.

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

This is the first time that I have coloured an image that was printed in grey scale - it is a pretty cool technique and I think I may have to try it again!

Here is my card:

The sponsor for this challenge is:

Prize is three images

I chose Wedding Digi 2 which I have digitally printed on to X-Press It Blending Card and then fussy cut after I have coloured with the following Copics:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
  • eyes - G21, G07, G29
  • lips - RV14, RV17, RV19
  • hair - E33, E15, E18, E47 (E19)
  • earring - YR09, V25, V28
  • flowers in the hair - V22, V25, V28, YG07, G19, YR09
  • dress - B12, B14, B16, B18, G29 (beads)
  • bangle - G21, G07, G29
  • leaves - YG07, G19
  • pink flowers - RV11, RV14, RV17, RV19, YR09
  • background - BV000, BV00, BV02
  • outline - BV02
I have adhered the coloured image on to a blue card from my German stash. After much deliberation, I have stamped "Enjoy your BIG day" from Party Time by the wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy in VersaMark ink using my MISTI and then heat embossed with Vanilla Sparkle embossing powder from Alison Ellis Design (which I believe is no longer available as it has closed down).

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder and her fantastic monthly classes.

Here is a close-up of the colouring :

As I was trying to take the photo of the finished card, a particular kitty was showing a lot of interest!!
This is William :)
